Got the furniture all back in DS2's room so tomorrow I can finish getting his room straight with him and get mine back to normal tooThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
In case I don't get back on before lots of you head off:I wish each and everyone of you a
Happy New Year.
Thank you for being my friends, for laughing with me, encouraging me and sending me hugs when I have needed them my year just would not have been the same without you all!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi everyone :hello:
I don't know where the week has gone yet again. Although thinking about it we have not been in much, we went to the Panto the other day, Cinderella, it was excellent. Then yesterday we were visiting other members of our family for the day. In between times I have been trying to restore order to this place and complete the ironing
Just having a breather and a coffee before I do the final few bits of ironing, woohoooo it will all be gone in the next hour
Had no chance and will have no chance to catch up on the thread this week, 50+ pages as I type this and I think I last posted back on page 6 or so. So plesae forgive me for posting and running otherwise it will be this time next year before I am caught up.
We are staying home tonight (I really don't like New Year), have a friend coming round so going to get some nibbles ready after the ironing is done.
Hope you all have a good New Year whatever your plans. xOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -

Another one spending NYE on my own. My OH left for work half an hour ago.
Diva.xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -

I didn't join because I didn't want to feel bad about not doing it... I could easily have finished what was there, but then I wouldn't have wanted to do anymore...
Just checking my blood donation records... anyone know what (N) in brackets after the donation on the printout means?I know the donation was successful (for a change) as the details are on the website...

 Just gone to put up year planner and discovered it is an academic one that started August 09!!
OK I didn't check, but would you expect a shop to be selling that at the end of December?
Then realised that I cleared out my handbag and then emptied bins (as per the list) so I don't have the receipt.
OK nothing in the great scheme of things, but they are not cheap.0 -

I didn't join because I don't like ironing:p:p
I also can't use the ironing press after a glass or two after the infamous incident where I ironed my hand.
One of the (many) things I love about my most recent DH is that I do not have to pretend to be anything I am not, erm like sociable. This includes NOT spending New Years Eve bored stupid in a pub like I used to with first H. We have all four boys - who else do we need?
Happy New Year to all of you. May the new year bring you everything you hope for.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Hi flygang,
back from a visit home with two pale & wan boys - small one happily watching Wallace & Gromitt, older one despatched to bed, so I guess I'll be joining the "on my own" gang for the bells. Can't see we'll get to the New Years Day Parade either..:(
have dashed to PO, and missed it by 5 minutes, but then ran into Mr T's so we have nibbles for later/tomorrow (forgot them before and was egg-less ) and can now have our traditional New Years day breakfast of eggs & salmon.
having a quick surf with my coffee and will then unpack cases etc.
Moam
NB - Toots - no ironing here!Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.
Snowball says too far away, working hard to bring it forward.0 -
