Just thought I would update my totals....
VERY - £380
Virgin CC - £2400
A&L - £3015
Barclays - 1668.70
Halifax - TBC But its the biggest we have!
Lloyds - 3500
The debt we are currently trying to clear is VERY - which should hopefully be paid off by April - Once this is cleared I am going to focus all my PADDING on the Virgin CC, however I am also going to try and settle Barclays as that will free up 166.87.
We have had a lot of trouble with Lloyds, not sticking to their arrangement, and not aknowledging payments - they have got to the point where I can't even trust them enought to make over payments so I am trying to save in a seperate account so we are able to pay off a good noticable chunk! later in the year (still paying minimum payments)
Debts settled so far....
Jan 10 - Hitachi
Feb 10 - Videographer
March 10 - Nationwide Overdraft

Hiya, not posted for as few days due to being busy with uni and work, not had any more developments really with the debts, continuing to PAD however at the moment its only a pound a day, due to OH's monthly loan payment being due later this week, also OH is off work sick so is only getting paid the bare minimum!
Very is now £376 and still very determined to get this paid off in April
Me and OH were talking and we feel like were starting to get in control of finances enough to possibly book our wedding, however we dont want to rush into anything, and want to be absolutley sure we can afford it as we booked our wedding before however had to cancel due to finances so its so important we get it right this time xxxx:j6 debts cleared since joining MSE:j:eek: Remaining debts... Also forgot to mention that I have now started saving for christmas, i know it sounds premature but were going to put away £10 a week, just so we have something at the end of the year... this is more for OH's benefit, as I bought all presents in cash last year and found he opened a next account to buy mine! I am not adding this to the list of debts though, as I told him when I first joined that I would help with his debts too, which I am doing, but any mess he manages to get himself into after that is down to him to sort out, I cant keep pulling him out of these sticky situations! He carrys on regardless cos he knows I will be there to clear up after him and i'm not going to keep doing it any more, just hope i dont come to regret it, and that he does take my advice and pays it off xxx:j6 debts cleared since joining MSE:j:eek: Remaining debts... Hi all,
Been working today and there is loads of overtime going so as its the holidays I have picked up a few extra shifts while im off uni
Me and OH fell behind on Mortgage payments as he was off work sick but I rang up today and paid off a good chunk and arranged to phone up every friday to make a payment to get us back upto date.
Also paid £10 off VERY should have been £5 but accidently did it twice -whoops never mind. My aim is to pay VERY off by the end of the month, I have £265 left on it so its gonna be tough but i'm confident I can do it!
Also I am entitled to Westfield Health through work, something I have stupidly never taken advantage of, I rang today to get all my documents sent through, and plan to use this for my due dentist and opticians appointment!
Think thats all for today :-) xx:j6 debts cleared since joining MSE:j:eek: Remaining debts... Very / Halifax Loan/ A&L / Virgin cc / Lloyds / Sister :smileyheaGetting Married 04.12.10 - The MSE way :smileyhea:dance: Making this house a home :dance:0
