2nd xbox will not regognise the ip address

I can't answer what you are asking me at the mo because my eldest who is doing it has gone off to a football match, tried ringing him but he can't hear me above the noise so thank you very much for all your help, will ask him when he gets back, will make him read this thread so he knows what to do and can eliminate what he has done etc and will let you all know then what we have done or not done and what works and doesn't, thank you once again your help has been much appreciated thank you:D

We have tried the disk did not need to configure, the ip address still does not work nor does the wep key on the new 2 pin wireless adaptor the wep key does not work, on the old adaptor the wep key works but does not pick up the ip address,

1st xbox with old 1 pin works 2nd xbox works with none of them either the 1 pin or 2 pin it asks for the ip address and will not accept it....

if the second Xbox cannot see the wireless signal from the router then you may be on a channel to high for the xbox to pick up - If you can access your router settings try changing the wireless channel to a lower one (like 3 for instance) see if it picks it up then.
(Europe wireless systems use more channels than the US - I have had a network adapter that could not go high enough to see the router channel - the new Xbox may have the same problem)
