Hold on, forget about ip addresses they should all be set to auto for now. You first need to search for wireless networks on the 360, It should pick yours up and may well pick some others up from houses around you. Now once you have found your wireless connection name connect to it, now you should have some sort of password on, enter it just as you did for the first 360 and any other wireless devices you have connected up to it. Once that is done you should be able to connect straight away without the need to change and set static ip's.Things that are free in life are great, well most of the time :beer:0

Mine and my brothers both connected automatically to our wireless router with no problems, what kind of xboxs are they? Cause ours are both Elite. And linked them with the Ethernet cables with no problems0

Xbox 360 pro both of them not elite, you say about connecting to neighbours houses my eldest had connection last night to loads of other xboxes around the area but just could not get a connection to the new one here in this house with all the stuff you need to put it and gave up trying because he was desperate that if he messed around he would loose his own live connection....0

I'd be tempted to swap the known working wireless adaptor to the new xbox & try to connect.
If it works then you have narrowed the problem down to the new adaptor.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
Just another thought... have you installed the wireless driver software on the new xbox? I'm pretty sure the new "N" adaptors come with a disc?Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0

True. To get N speeds you need a N router but the adaptor is backwards compatible & will connect to a G router but at G speed.UHM not sure but think it is N enabled
Did the adaptor come with a disc? http://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/xbox360/kb.aspx?ID=977641&lcid=1033&category=hardwareAlways try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
no i dont think a G router supports N at all, most N routers are backward compatable and will support G, but as N is newer than G if the router is G it is likely to only be GEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0

I think I said thatTo get N performance you need a N capable router but the N adaptor will connect to a G router but with G performance.
