couple of suggestions,
firstly you do have a wireless router yeah?? (had to ask sorry)
ok try removing the wireless encrytion through your routers settings and see if that makes any difference
whilst in router settings make sure it is accepted as an attached device, i know with my netgear the mac address fro the xbox shows up but until i allow it to be an attached device it wont let internet access go through it.
The only other thing is to phone microsofts support if they are open they are actually quite useful, also visit xbox.com and check the support pages there some useful infoEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
Wireless range is not as good as many people think, and can easily be upset by walls etc - it could be just a bad signal. If it is a fair distance, try moving it closer to the router to test with.
Does the other xbox use wireless or wired. Have you tried with the other xbox off.0 -
the other xbox is wireless with the old one pin grey wireless one on the back, we bought the black 2 pin one for the other xbox...
wireless router yes belkin N1...
how to remove wireless encrytion?
Been on the xbox support pages does not seem to have the answer yes it says modem to router to two xbox's but does not say wireless to two xboxes?0 -

Try manually setting the IP address to 7 or 8 ie 192.168.2.8 (apparently the IP range used by the router). this is guessing that you don't have more than 6 items connected to your router, the default gateway would be 192.168.2.1 and the subnet should automatically be 255.255.255.0Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.0

How do I find out if I have?
if you want to remove encryption, then it should be in the web interface under wireless settings (or similar). remember to turn the encryption (security) back on after testing as you might open the network up to intruders0 -
Can the new xbox see your wireless network ? To do this go to settings tab then network settings then i think its wireless networks0

as DCFC is the xbox with the wireless adapter finding your network? if its not even finding the network you may have a problem with the wireless adapter, your router or even bothEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0
