Right update,
I was sat in the Mess today waiting to have late breakfast, now bare in mind I did inform BT when they rang me on Saturday that I would not be back until quite late today.
My phone rings and guess who it is. My lovely friends from BT to ask what the status was on my BB. My phone actually went to message service. Its a good job as I would have been very likely to tell them what the status was and it would not have been polite.
Have Arrived back at home now, and the status of BB is. NOT WORKING. Had another phone call on landline this time to ask if my BB was working.
Er NO,
Have I tried another Hub
Er Yes
Have I changed the filter
Er yes
Have you had an engineer out to your home
Er yes I have
When,
I have had 8 engineers so far, Well If I count the last few days that BT have sent engineers to exchange i think it is probably 11.
So lady from BT says I will have to send this back to diagnostics,
and we will be in touch later on today.

Right, my landine has no restrictions on it, but the BB has, so how the Foooook can they try and repair it now. I thought this might be because of a bill issue as I said I would not pay for a service I am not getting. And they did put a note on my account. But I think It is because I asked for MAC code on friday.

Engineer rang me to say the problem WAS at the exchange and that it was a common problem. OK. Broadband back on. For 2 hrs.
It went off again. I rang tech services again. And went through all the resets. And AGAIN i explained the problem was at the exchange. Another half an hour later of feeling like i am talking to myself i was told an engineer would be booked for me. I told them i had already had an engineer out. To be told I had not had an engineer out. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: No matter how many times i told them they would not have. YES I AM RANTING. So no broadband since last monday. I have had to go to a friends house so i could check my emails and get on there internet to speak to relatives abroad on christmas day.
I have had to wait in again today. My slot was 8am till 1pm. So been up since 7.30am. Bless the engineer. He did ring to say it was a problem at the exchange. He rang his people, who told him to come to my house to run tests from here. Said done. No problem at my end. He said he would put in a report to software company. He was brilliant. Sadly he could not fix problem. I said should i ring tech services again. He said yes.
So i did. Right back to soddin square 1. Resetting etc. I HAVE HAD ENOUGH. They have booked another engineer to come on tuesday morning. Yet again i have to wait in. Tech services say it is at my end. Engineer say it is the exchange. Tech guy said i had a choice of new router or engineer. I said both. Then when engineer comes out it will be sorted one way or the other. The man from del monte say. we cant do that. One or the other. Sp plumped for engineer as i said earlier.
I am gutted i have not been able to use my comp over Xmas. And i am fed up talking and noone listening to me. I think i have cried a bucket with frustration.:(:(:(:(
Peeps on here who know me well, know that i am not one to rant like this.
If anyone out there knows what, error code 721 is

And spoken to some really arrogant people

I am on with that now. I have done everything I could possibly do at my end. It has totally drained me and stressed me out no end. I can do no more now.
Going to get some legal advice on this now on how to get a satisfactory resolution with BT.Night Owl Member No 1 :rotfl: :rotfl:

This is abosolutely disgusting on BT's part.
I think you should send Watchdog a link to this whole thread.
BT seriously need to get their house in order. They can't keep people going round in circles like this forever.0 -
Bt priority team have just rung me. It is a billing issue and they had put a restriction on my BB. They are now lifting restriction and will ring me later when its done, and they will put me throught to tech services priority team.
The BB was never restricted until yesterday, so the problems have never been to do with billing. But while the restriction is on, Bt engineers cant repair the fault.
I cant believe though how many times I have had to explain what the problems have been. I asked if they have read my notes on their system, and they always say no.
There has been a BT openreach van outside my house this morning, Probably looking at status of line.
I explained to priority team that I had already spoken to billing on a number of occasions and that I would not be paying until something was done. And they said they would put a note on the system. This was never done.
And this thread by no means comes anywhere near to what I have encountered.Night Owl Member No 1 :rotfl: :rotfl:
