did you contact directly BT on that info provided by Stuart or Robbie in 2 of the answers above - the BT company Reps?

I found with Virgin that contacting one of the directors directly has some results, it may work the same with BT.

  • I have spoken to BT evry dept going. Complaints, Tech services, engineers dept, cancellations, Billing,

When i spoke to billing to tell them i was not going to pay my bill for a service i have not recieved, they tried to put me in contact with a manager at BB tech services. They actually refused the the call and said it was out of their hands now as it was a line problem. Never has been a line problem. And yes i have tried to get in touch with Stuart. tried the contact address but it would not let me go any further for some reason. That is why I left a message on here to ask him if there was another way to contact them.

I would contact Sir Livingston but seeing as he is in Davos right now i doubt he will take my call. LOL

But yes, You are right, I will fire a letter off to a director. I am still going to cancel contract and battle it out in small claims court if i have to.

    Thanks Sis ,
I am working a nightshift tonight, so really could have done without all this !!!!!! today. And tomorrow when i should be asleep x x x x x x

email someone at MSE direct and see if they can find you contact details for the 2 reps listed. Their link takes you to a BT forum homepage. There may also be board leaders on there who may be able to point you in the right direction. Join it and you may get some direct help from there too.

If you are going to try and cancel your contract you need to put it in writing to them and state the reasons why and give them a chance to respond.

Also, BT has more than one director - Livingston maybe the CEO but you can also fire off complaints to others.

Just be a royal pain the butt. I'm sure you should not find it too hard :p

Thanks a lot, Listen, trying to navigate BT is a nightmare, I have never known anything like it. Left hand does not know what right hand is doing. And yes I will put everything in writing and why. It will be like war and peace. And I have been a polite royal pain in the butt. But it has got me nowhere so far. And I have been spoken to on occasions like a piece of dirt. So rude sometimes.

I feel your pain. I would never sign up with BT broadband because they are incapable of fixing faults.

I had a broadband problem that was caused by what turned out to be a loose wire on my external phone line (up at the pole).

I use Plusnet as my BB provider but I still rent the line from BT, so I tried contacting BT to get them to check the line but the 3 engineers they sent could find nothing wrong.

I then talked to Plusnet and they sent out a broadband engineer who tracked down the loose wire within 30 minutes. It took almost 18 months of wasted time with BT before I tried sorting it out via Plusnet. Wish I'd realised sooner.

But if you get phone AND BB from BT then I don't know what to suggest. Switch ISPs right now if you value your sanity!

I'd stop dealing with BT for my phone line if I had a reasonable alternative.

    Hi Smashedbooboo

I'd really like to have this looked into for you. Send me an e-mail to the address in my profile and I will have this investigated for you.

So far there have been 4 replies from BT reps on this thread and the OP still has the same problem she started with.

    Stuart, Stuart, Robbie, Stuart again

I wonder why BT feel it necessary to have so many of their people patrolling these forums? Perhaps instead of scampering about trying to fight all of these fires BT need to sort out the core issue of their company being fundamentally incapable of dealing with customers effectively.
  • Thank you Stuart, but which email address, There seems to be 2. I have tried twice before to send you and Robbie an Email but to no avail. I have asked for a PM just to help me get an email to you. The address of which i am to send to please. As I said earlier, I maybe being a little bit blonde but everytime I try to go to Company Reps homepage i find myself on the BT forums. Even my sis has tried to find out which email address it is. Please help me here and give me a break. I am not a bad person and I am always polite with anyone I have dealt with so far, but there is only so much a person can take. And to be quite honest I have not had this level of stress for yrs. To end up being so frustatrated at times that all I can do is blubber down the phone because noone will take notice or listen to me. Sometimes the script has to be put to one side and realise that maybe this problem has gone beyond the pale. I even had a BT girl a couple of days ago trying her best to get me in touch with someone who could help and even she got frustrated. And all she could do was put me through to Tech services again.

So far today my BB is still working, but this has cost me an average of 2 hrs per day on the phone. I even put up a brand new thread for you Stuart asking you to pm me exact details so i could get in touch with you a couple of weeks ago .

I am one of the most patient people around as a lot of peeps on here will tell you, but I am now getting past it.

if they still have the same problem as you had, changing providers would not have solved the problem as the network fault is still there, not a problem with exchange equiptment,

many normal telephone engineers will not recognise these faults as there many network faults that will not effect the phone, but cause adsl problems, where us adsl engineers will possibly have a better chance of finding the fault, but sometimes on intermittent faults it`s haed to locate a problem when it`s working,

hope your fault does get sorted, well all try our bests to get every customer back up and working,,,;)
