I won't take the tree down until Twelfth Night, as I like tradition, but must admit that the cards will come down on New Years Day, and other bits & pieces will gradually go back in the box...0

I cracked and took all mine down yesterday, I have to say it is lovely to have the house back to normal. I know that sounds a bit mean spirited but I love the whole build up to xmas and have my decs up really early!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

Hey

Got to say, I'm suprised how many people take theirs down relatively early - almost sounds like some people don't like having them up or see them as a hassle!
We don't have that many up (very few cards, just a tree, some lights entwined round our staircase, and a few other things like a wreath), but we have them up for the week before christmas then up to the 6th Jan (i.e 12th night!)........it shouldn't be a burden having them up!!
