I thought as long as the decs were down by the 12th night it was ok, didn't know that it should be on the 12th night?

  • Father Christmas brings our tree along with the presents once the children are in bed on Chritmas Eve. It then comes down on Twelfth Night.

I can just cope with twelve days of Christmas and couldn't bear having the tree up before 24th December. Luckily I married a man who had similar ideas that I could "mould" into my Austrian traditions!:D

I love that idea...would love to be more like that next year... I hate how the "commercial Christmas" begins in August, and ends somewhere around mid December!
Having said that I still feelt he need to start planning earlier for next year:rolleyes:
Oh I so need Christmas tobe different next year.....sigh...
  • I am taking ours down on New Years Day as had them up since 1st Dec and now im getting fed up with them all.
