Hello
Fairly quiet day here, Me and Jess went to take presents to my friend and her little girl then over to game shop because Jess wanted some games for the Nintendo DS that she's just inherited from big bro.
Hubby took Elli to see the Sherlock Holmes movie (very good they said) and I got some little Christmas puds from M&S, they were half price. (I love Chrissy pudding:T)
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
We're just gearing up for round 2 of Just Dance on the Wii. What a blimmin good laugh it is !!!
We got Just Dance as well but it hasn't been out of it's wrapper yet

Evening

Been for a 19 mile run and while we were out it seems our hot water is working again - phew maybe call out charges can wait
Bun I would go with 1-2 lbs a week as a target as thats the healthy recommended level for sustainable loss without being hungry
Well done on the runs Snags and Sally
Going to have a bath in a mo - sooo sore going to be well stiff tomorrow!0 -
I would really like a new car-mine is at the stage where little niggly things are starting to go wrong and it's bugging me.
I would really like a new fiesta but hey hoEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -

Im not suprised you are going to be stiff tomorrow Becky...ah the days of the 19 mile runs (can't say I miss them terribly
) Good news the water is back on though...you'll need that you sweaty betty!
Bun I would really like a super duper new car (well one that doesn't break down, doesn't have mould growing in it and lets water in) ..one day I shall have money again!I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

I must say I'm really not missing our car - probably because I don't drive but even so - I'm not missing the endless rounds of visiting others or popping out at the weekend for something we've forgotten. I can't believe how much it's saved us, not only in insurance/tax/petrol etc but in focusing us into really thinking about what we do need when we go out - what we order online (which has boosted quidco) and how nice it is to entertain people in our house for a change.
DD's have been great too - they know they can't get lifts here there and everywhere and always work out a bus route before they ask if they can go out. :T (which in turn makes them more independant which is always a good thing in my mind)"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W.
