I'm here now :rotfl:
I've been too poorly to care much about christmas, it was just a case of battle through to make sure everything that needed doing was done before I crawled off to bed.
My best friend has organised a birthday surprise in london tomorrow. I have no idea what we are doing other than meeting at kings x in the morning... I hope whatever it is requires a bright red nose and no energy :rotfl::A

BB shame the polo has gone
Have you had an automatic before? I drove the ex's merc for a couple of years, that was my first experience of an auto, now I couldn't go back to a manual, too lazy in my old age. It might help a bit with your driving phobia.
The whole insurance thing sucks though doesn't it.
it was Sally's car which has been sold
My Honda was an automatic. I switched from manual because of my leg/back - I don't have any sensation below the knee of my left leg so I couldn't feel the clutch under my foot and also the movement was sometimes difficult in the mornings if my back was very sore.
It has helped a tiny, tiny bit. When I had a manual I always said an automatic would help. Part of my fear (there are many elements ) is changing gear on a sliproad when joining another fast moving road (dual carriageway etc) so I knew an automatic took that element out. Just the other dozen or so parts of my fear to solve  Seen a lovely car the same as I have just lost, 4 years younger and with a higher spec - but on the Kent/Surrey border . I know exactly where my fear stems from - the exact moment, which was on my first driving test in a car I'd never driven beforehand - but over time it's grown and 'developed' to take in most elements of driving, just a shame I can't undo it all.
The whole insurance thing is a joke

Spud, son is now dancing like a loony to 'the bird is the word' on Just Dance :rotfl:
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

Let's just say that at 4am on Wednesday morning, we decided to forsake the bedroom and go and play in the snow.

It was a bit brisk! :rotfl: But we warmed up pretty quickly."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
