Hey Pap, hope work wasn't too bad today
Think I would be crawling the walls having to watch HSM 1/2 and 3 shudders at the thought.
I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....

Pooky, a couple of tiny grazes on my fingers and a huge dent to my pride. Loads of traffic was going past and they all stopped to watch! A refuse truck pulled up to ask if I was ok and one of the guys got out to help me up, what a star.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

If I get a car before you I can always help you to get car from further a field. I can always pick you up and follow you home to make sure you get back ok

seriously, I'd not be able to do it, even following someone, or being followed :o I'm such a nightmare :o

There's a 2000 golf and a 1999 Focus at a place a mile away - neither have photos yet, both just over the 2k mark might be brave and go there tomorrow - it's on a huge industrial estate in Poole and it's like a maze. I always get lost when I venture in there and then panic because I know one exit is onto a dual carriageway

Firestronaut - my grandson turned one last week, we are from a big family so he got quite a few presents, but the thing he is into most is sitting himself down with these touch and feel books and babbling away to himself, then bringing them over for us to read to him. Tesco had a pack of the Thats not my ...... books which are fantastic for a fiver - they are normally a fiver each which encourages their development and also lets you get an extra cuddle!!!! Hope the wee one has a great day when it comes,
    Good wishes to you all,
    Suz

    Hi, thanks!
I'll definitely get her some of those, and I'll hopefully get those extra cuddles :D

I think the main part of buying her a present is keeping up appearances. My brother will have something to say if I don't spend money I don't have getting DD a present. :(

The biggest present you can give her is love, security and those cuddles. The monetary value of your gift is nothing to do with your brother.
I know how you feel about keeping up appearances though. This was my grandson's first Christmas and I am broke. His parents have lavished pounds on him but he is only playing with the inexpensive stacking cups I bought.
Hope this doesn't sound harse or complacent but I have learnt a lot by being skint this Christmas and I can honestly say that it is the best we have had for years.

Well I can get the train/bus to you and onto garage and then I can drive it back for you if need be.

Ive also been looking at Focus's as they are the number 1 rated second hand car and honest John gives them a 5 out of 5 :)

I think I'm just going to get some cheaper presents for DD and just pay her lots of attention all day.
DD is too young to realize what a birthday is anyway, so I'll make it special in another way.

And on the day, I'll remind myself of the £15 that goes into her trust fund every single month and hopefully I won't feel bad :o
