Snaggles, well done on deciding to study! I'm starting Economics and Economic Change in Feb, I'm guessing that's on your list of courses? I'll let you know what it's like. Tesco clubcard vouchers are worth 4x as much for OU courses, I'm using them to pay for my contribution.

Well, I'm just killing time for half an hour before I go to the gladatorial combat between little old ladies that is the m&s sale. I only want a hat, know what I want, so hopefully I can get in and out fairly quickly and unhurt.

I'd brave the next sale for clothes for Evie BUT our road is like an ice rink and I don't fancy driving on it!

hoping to see my aunt and uncle this morning, but I'd still have to brave the ice on the road first...

Snags, you sound like a gal with a plan - fingers crossed for you.

My resolution for 2010 is to lose weight and get healthy in general.

Good luck with the M&S madness Ames, hope you get the hat you want.

Snaggs - excellent decision to get back into studying I am sure you will manage it no problem:T

This year ahead I plan to complete the accountancy course I am part way through and either do a top up to Hons in accountancy or professional studies. I had a bit of a proposition made to me before I broke up for the holidays so maybe the professional studies will be more useful.

I miss SkintSpice (where is she) and Zed:(

Blimey Becky, don't you ever stop running?!

I'm going to be more organised in 2010, I've already got plans for how to do it. They involve lots of white boards/noticeboards/calendars.

Morning everyone I havent posted on here before but with Christmas now being over I have a few finance issues in the coming months- which are quite major, as well as hoping for a nice holiday so my thoughts are looking to the new year and how I can do this without ending up with more debt!!! It has been snowing a lot here overnight - about another 5-6 inches - so iuts a fine excuse not to do anything and get my plans sorted out.
Firestronaut - my grandson turned one last week, we are from a big family so he got quite a few presents, but the thing he is into most is sitting himself down with these touch and feel books and babbling away to himself, then bringing them over for us to read to him. Tesco had a pack of the Thats not my ...... books which are fantastic for a fiver - they are normally a fiver each which encourages their development and also lets you get an extra cuddle!!!! Hope the wee one has a great day when it comes,
    Good wishes to you all,
    Suz

Ames - Good luck in the sale - When are you off to Venice?

Had a lovely couple of days, DD's were spoilt rotton and loved every minute of it. Managed to film them opening their main pressies and I'm glad I did - their reaction was great (I've popped it on fb)

I thought my mum had lost the plot when I started unwrapping huge bags of pasta but she'd done us a huge bag of foody bits - all basics like pasta and rice and tins of beans etc but all very much appreciated - she knows our current financial issues and just hoped it would help - I was very touched.

MIL brought us loads and then snuck in a £100 gift card for Asda too. :T

Both the parents help means that we should be able to cope if DH's benefits aren't sorted out this month - a huge weight off my mind.

We've no visitors due today, no plans to go anywhere so I've declared it an official pj's day and I intend to do very little.....well I am going to cook a roast tonight - loads of meat and veg left and I do looooveeeee a roast :D.

Well Boxing Day party round mine went well, apart from my ex bf let me down again by not turning up!

So tired. We got up early as my best friend is supposed to be coming round for a flying visit, but I haven't actually heard from her, so not sure what time she is coming!
