  • Been lurking for a while, and now taking the plunge. Rang EHO and they are sending me an application form.
The only possible problem I might have is that my kitchen and bathroom are next door to each other (the doors are at a sort of L angle to each other) but the bathroom door doesn't open into the kitchen as such. Do you think this might be a problem?

Going to go for biscuits, and cakes. Very excited.

Esmer, these blossom powders are more for decorating/painting sugar flowers etc rather than buttericing. theyre small tubes and you may use alot trying. if you do give it ago, let me know how you get on please. x

I'm not sure how well these would colour buttercream but maybe worth a try?

Where do you buy your colours from and what kind do you use?

I use sugarflair paste colours, I get them for £1.75 at my local shop, they're £2.00 at Cake Craft World.

I use the Wilton Concentrated Icing Colour, and its really good, but it can be 3.00 a pot. I lasts forever but I was looking for something a bit different. I get it from hobbycraft. I dont like the colourings from asda or tesco, they smell strange and colours crap.

Yeah I agree and they ruin the consistency of the icing.

Do you not have any local shops nearby or could you order online?
