Stardrops and FrugalFriend, thank you for your advice. I've asked for a deposit and for the rest of the money two weeks before the wedding. I've asked for access to the venue with two hours before the guests arrive.

How long before the wedding do you deliver?

Who made a wonky cake before?

How do you transport the cakes with 3 or more layers - in one piece or you re-assemble it at the venue?

    Hi,
Business has kept on developing for me recently, yet today the council phoned me and asked if I would like to join the county's farmers market.
    STARTING THIS FRIDAY!
Argh. Terrified, Excited, what to do first! I;ve only ever done one stall at a fete that i organised so I'm very new to this.

oh you have to let us all know how you get on. hopefully you will make just enough cupcakes to sell without any left over!

    good luck!

Here's my latest cake - was a bit of a nightmare but I salvaged it, and am rather pleased with the results!

Is this the first multi -tiered or wonky cake you've made/delivered?

Without wishing to be harsh, do you think that you should take on the commission if you've not had experience in doing these types of cakes before?

At the very least, I'd recommend a trial run before taking any money.

Just a flying visit to show you my latest cake - for a friend's son's 6th birthday. I think this will be the last "freebie" cake I make for just the cost of ingredients!

I follow this thread with interest/ envy.
I have been thinking for a while now, how I could bake for an occupation.
I posted my dilemma on the small business forum as I thought that was the best place. however I would appreciate any comments, experience and thoughts you may like to add.
