    Hi awesome

I've just purchased a few tutorials from Lorraine Mckay's website. I've been meaning to buy some for ages as her figures are fantastic and everyone raves about her tutorials. Her website is called "Extra Icing". It does state on the website that they won't be sent until 3rd June though ;) HTH

Just recieved an email from Amazon advertising a classikool 8 tier acrylic cupcake stand for £50 which includes postage. I checked online and other retailers are selling this for over £100 ! As it can be arranged to use whatever amount of tiers you require, i decided to take the plunge and purchase one ........ It should come in handy !
I dont know if I can post the link here, so if you are interested, just PM me and I will forward you the link

missed the tutorials "two for one" offer by just a cpl of weeks on the EXTRA ICING site !!!!! just my luck. The individual tutorials seem a little steep, but form what people are saying, they are very detailed and worth it......I may wait a while to see if they repeat the offer

awesome - I have received the tutorials and they are brilliant! I bought, mum to be, snow time, victorian lady and I received the baby topper free:D Very detailed step by step instructions with photographs of each stage. If I was you I would go for the mum to be tutorial as it's exactly what you want just don't give it a pregnant belly;)

gazpacho - The tutorials are really good and I would say they are well worth the money as they will save you lots of time and error. :D

ETA - awesome the figure on my cake was my first attempt and wasn't very good, it's head was too big and heavy which gave the figure a humped back! I do seem to have problems getting the proportions right on my figures lol

Finally got round to doing my Level 2 food safety (catering) to comply with the regs. Did it through virtual college via Quidco as recommended by environmental health which works out at £25 once I get the cashback. The course was fairly well laid and and easy to follow but a bit dumbed down and seemed to amiss a couple of things. The site reckons 2-3 hours to complete and lets you have 5 attempts at the test to get a 75% pass mark although I completely the lot in a little over an hour once I'd turned the really irritating and very distracting voice over off since it simply repeated what was on the screen word for word.

Going to my first market in person this weekend armed with a vast array of stuff in the hoes of figuring out what sells.
Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.50
