    Sorry, only just seen this!

    http://design-a-cake.co.uk/default.asp

Bought them from here but finding it a struggle finding them at the moment, will reply again if I find them but I'm sure if you type in some keywords you'll find them. It was a silicone mould with about 8 different little moulds on them. Some of the tools I made myself too, easy enough really.

No probs! I did actually find a mould like the one you used on ebay but decided to just make a few little tools myself. Worked out fine! Thanks anyway. x

Thankyou to everyone that gave suggestions, iv actually found a place now that does them for a great price

Is there anyone in the southwest (wilts, somerset area) that would like to buy some '12 cupcake' boxes. Im placing an order for 100 but only need 30-50, I have someone else who said they would like 25 so we are looking for a third person. The boxes work out at 70p each :)

I might be interested but am in Devon.... ???

What an inspiring thread, thank you :D

Can you sell at car boot sales or do you have to have certificates?

I would love to start baking as a side line, currently work full time from home and live in rented accommodation, would this cause issues?

Hi folks! :)I have an order for a wedding. Tower of 48 cupcakes with a small cutting cake on the top with handmade, personalised bride and groom figures on top.How much should i be charging for something like this? She is a work colleague and i want to give her a really reasonable price, but as my orders are now picking up i want to start charging a little bit more. (Yes, i need to pull my finger out and get properly registered and stuff first!) The wedding is in July so i am hoping to be all properly up and running by then but she wants a quote now.

handmade bride & grooms are expensive to buy, we were talking about this at college last night, with prices varying from £80-£100.... my tutor is running a bride and groom course in April that ive signed up to do, maybe £40 and then you can add the cost of the cakes on top, I know £40 seems alot but theres going to be alot of time spent making these, my course is over 2 days! Well Done on your order. cant wait to see a pic. Karen x

Does anybody have public liability insurance?

Where did you get it from and how much was it?

I know you can get it through the BSG pretty cheap but the membership runs out in April so i've had to pay membership twice in a short space of time, is that right or did I read it wrong on the website?

    Thanks xx

    Hi
I used Simply Business for my insurance, it was £72 for the year. If you would like a quote (and you dont mind me being cheeky as get I would get 10% off my next renewal) pm me your full name and email address and they will send you a link to their website
    Kind Regards

I would charge £1.25 per cupcake and around £20 for the cake, that's for a 6" sponge. I agree with karen about charging at least £40, they will take you hours to make.

Babyplum - where in Devon are you? I am too so maybe we could split an order sometime? I just ordered so it wouldn't be straight away though...

I've lost track of who I follow on Facebook - I'm Curious Cupcakes, if that rings a bell!
