Could always ebay it lostinrates! hehe
If only some were unused.....I seem to use everything a bit, then forget abou it...and I cannot imagine where the lids to everything has gone...especially eyeshadows and liners.
Have now also ''found'' 5 black kohl pencils. I almost alway use liquid liner, but it seems I'm going to be using kohl for a while! (I am keeping the orange eye pencil, as I let the shadow go)
Also....I think I might need MORE lipstick....I've only just relaised how limited and dated and samey my lipstcks and glosses have got....I used to be so much more experimental! (I had a lipstick sort a few years ago and all my friends relieved me of a scanalous number of lipsticks!)0 -

last year I asked my hubby to buy me the huge NO7 eyeshadow/ blusher kit (think it was £60 but he got it for £40 when it went on offer before xmas). Then I binned all of my indiviual ones (kept 2 or 3 for keeping in my handbag). Binned all my mascaras as they were years old and I had 1 in the kit + some unopened ones from No7 GWP. Also had a sort out of all my nail polish's (i had a bit of an obsession in my teen years) and gave them away to mummies at my baby group. Felt soooo good. PLUS I've been reallly good. Think I only bought 1 mascara/ 1 eyeshadow and 1 lipfinity (which was £2.99 in Savers) cause I was going out after work and forgot my makeup.
This year I really need to bin muy stash of old lipfinity and stock afreash as they are getting quite old (and i have lost the one mentioned above! :mad: ) Gonna wait till savers or TJ Hughes stock them cheap again.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Bit of a scary afternoon today
. Audited most of my non-make up toiletries (once I'd finished tiling the bathroom :A) and am staggered to discover that I have (and this excludes the stuff I'm currently using):
* 10 big bottles of body moisturiser (not including body butters, of which I have 6 giant tubs)
* 30+ bottles of shower gel/bubble bath
* 12 curly hair styling products (I have straight hair and have done for a long time!)
* 6 cans of dry shampoo (when I wash my hair every day)
* 53 Liz Earle items
* 10 different body scrubs
* 6 microdermabrasion sets
* 19 different face moisturisers
* 13 bottles of toner (I don't use toner)
* 6 bottles of perfume and 17 bottles of matching shower gel and body lotion (in fairness, the perfume does get used every day).
So I will need to buy toothpaste and shampoo and conditioner still, but I'm not buying anything else until I've used everything I can, and passed on/eBayed everything else.
:rolleyes:
(Should be easier when I've fitted the new bathroom furniture and can keep an eye on this every day (instead of hiding crates of stuff in the airing cupboard)

I got a huge amount of (really nice) stuff for christmas but I am going to resist the urge to browse Boots, Asda, Superdrug etc, and pop another tub of cream, face scrub, shampoo or conditioner into my basket. I reckon the stuff I have will last me until possibly June. I have decided that the money I save I will put into my special holiday account.
Anyone else?
Excellent idea! I avoid Boots at all costs now, I just can't help but buy bits & bobs!!0 -

Body moisturiser is something I really go through: and I'm fussyish about scents: unscented is fine, but I don't like to smell too sweet. I'm trying to make time to moistorise my body..like my face, twice a day, not just...when I remember. One thing I've found is that although bottles of lotion/cream work out much cheaper I find tubs of butter/thicker cream more pleasant nd easy, so am more likely to use them.
BTW...doen't putting stuff in the irming cupboard and therefore warm mean you are shortening its storage life? Mine is in the attic(and two crispers in the fridge...I'm starting the clear out there now too, DH is amazed, I'm on a roll!...I cot three patially used cleaners into one bottle earlier...I WILL make space....:)

Wow I can't believe how it can all add up. I'm scared to look at mine but don't think its too bad- will do stock inventory tomorrow and let you all know. I started trying to use up my stuff earlier this year and over the last year I have given away quite a few unused sets or toilettries I cannot use (have sensitive skin), therefore its less than it use to be

I would love to join in too! I have so much stuff to use up, especially body lotion, which I need to start using more regularly! I am hoping to clear all my stuff, in order to just buy the brands I want to use in future.
I am going to try not to buy anything unless essential until it is all used up.

i love this thread! Toiletries aren't really a passion of mine (prefer cardigans... if we were having a cardigan clear out you'd be disgusted in me!!
) but in recent years I've built up a little stash. Mostly because I like to try new things, but then find I don't actually like the products, so go back to my old faithfuls.
I have a small wicker basket and a drawer of stuff, along with a few Christmas gift sets and my S&G hatbox, so I think I'll be okay for a few months. I cannot believe the toiletry hauls some of you ladies have - you're surely set for life?! :rotfl:0 -
