I also blame AVON - none of my list included any of the avon products "in stock" either

Lots of people love lush on here too! luckily for me my nearest is ether Bluewater, or Maidstone. Might be one in Brighton though. I tried one from two bits from them and wasn't impressed tbh. I was worried about the 'best before' on them and was under the impression thats when its best to use them? Plus a little pricey.0

a photo of my spare room would show wardrobes and chests of drawers. nothing is on display. my bathroom has no products out either. only my bedroom has selected items on view. nobody but me knows my addiction.no evidence to visitors.
i did buy something in boots but it wasnt for me. it was shaving gel and when i noticed it was on 342 i bought 6. but that definitely gets used up and quite quickly.and paid in points.
i'm trying to figure out why we do this:
BARGAINS!
shopping/hobby
boredom
ocd
growing up poor and sharing a bar of soap (me)
anything else?0 -
I've got a Bourjois eyeshadow that I know is 16 years old. I bought it as my first expensive purchase aged 10 in 1994. I can clearly remember it.
Time for a clear out of the make up?I cleared out about 5 times last year, but the eyeshadow remains!
And I threw away a lippy today that was Mary Quant in a little black metal tube (colour metallic butterfly) that smelt disgusting - but had every right to since I bought that in Carnaby street when I was in my teens:o I'm 51 now:eek::eek::o"there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -
Since making my list at the weekend, ive only managed to use a bottle of toner, half a bottle of shower gel and half a tube of body scrub, but its a start
I've decided that everytime i go in the shower/bath i will take a product with me. I normally dont have time in the morning but my stash is never going to go down any other way
As someone else said before, now thats ive written it all down i can believe how much everything would cost.
Molton Brown is up to £15, Body Shop about £8 etc and ive got about 40 odd products
Thats not including my 70 odd face products at about £10 each
Although i have always tried to buy things when on offer, in kits etc but its still shockingSaving my pennies for my wedding on 10th August 2013!:j

I definitely hoard due to bargains of stuff I actually do use. I hate paying full price for it, so get it when it is on offer.

I keep reading about people getting Boots mailouts and even though I am NOT spending money in there at the moment, I am disappointed that I never seem to get these, despite my previous record of spending loads of money in there and earning loads of points (I haven't had a mailout for years and have no idea why)... Maybe I should see it as a blessing in disguise!!I'm buying No More Toiletries, I'm Deluttering and I'm Losing Weight for 2010!0

I never get anything through the post from them either and ive always wondered if it depends on how much you have spent with them in the past?Saving my pennies for my wedding on 10th August 2013!:j

£94 on my Boots card. :think:The words "I don't think I'll bother with the Boots 75% sale" have just ventured out of my mouth. :eek:Someone get me a stiff Brandy.
Hey jamtart6/*Vickki*, I use points to buy presents (hang on that sounds like points mean...) like a fancy curling tong. It had just come out and I was going to buy it in Argos later that day. So could you use your points on larger purchases? Eg do they sell cameras?I wonder if they sell fit-flops in any of their stores. They do swimwear in the summer I think too. Or how about a new electric toothbrush. (By the way I don't work for Boots!). :A
Off to have a bath to use up: a face mask and to dig out another bare essentials pot to use tomorrow.:TDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

I've used up quite a few things already, 10 to be precise.
I finished up the eye cream by putting it all over my face. I've had two baths so used up two bombs. I've used 5 little hotel shampoos and gave a perfume sample to my mum. I also used up my last deodorant but found another that I bought on holiday.
This week need to make an effort to use my scrubs and body moisturisers as this cold weather is making my skin horribly dry.
Edit: A lot of my stash is Lush, I used to use them exclusively but now I have some other brands in there. The best before date is because they use a minimum of preservatives and lots of fresh ingredients like fruit. Their products are excellent but they tend to put their prices up above the rate of inflation each year, so they're getting progressively more expensive0
