Hello, I think you are my big sister :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
I agree "One on the go, one in stock" seems like an acceptable rule. I also panic when I start to run out and stockpile leading to the current dilemma.
I do this, except for shower gels and toothpastes on offer, where 6 is the acceptable number. For anything else, the 'one on the go, one spare' rule it is!Please call me 'Pickle'

Ive used up my old botanics moisturiser and come out in HUGE spots !!
!
I just moisturised. I was freezing and didn't want to (usually only bother in the summer) and found a skin softener from the avon. I took all my good stuff and put it in the loft so I cant be tempted. was disappointed this was the only one I had, THEN.... I used it - ITS AMAZING! Usually feel all greasy and 'orrible but this actually does what it says it will. Feel lovely and smooth now.
Ahh... all this applying of products is great - its stopped me from eating on day 1 of the diet!

I have also got to unsubscribe from the Brandalley emails as I just cannot resist their makeup. I ordered a beautiful Stila set reduced from£39 to £16 I can't wait to get it and yet again why did I do this when I have so much lovely Stila make up?
AAAARRRGGGHHH!!! I've just discovered Brand Alley and have £81 in my basket! NO!!
Not toiletries, but clothes. The reason I'm joining in this challenge rather than Sharron's 'No clothes for 365 days' challenge is because I know I couldn't give up clothes. Not even for a month. Not even for a week (so it would seem!).
I won't buy but I will add this website to my favourites. I cannot believe the great deals they have on this site!!0 -
Make-up (This is after throwing a load away last year)
2 Foundations
2 Concealer/illuminator
4 Mascaras
1 Liquid eyeliner
1 Felt tip eyeliner
2 Pencil eyeliners
1 Lipliner
4 Lipsticks
2 Lipgloss's
2 Blushers
14 individual eyeshadows
A Lancome eyeshadow pallette and a MAC eyeshadow Pallette
Sad thing is, they're all expensive brands like YSL/Estee Lauder/MAC/Bobbi Brown/Nars costing me a fortune

Hello, can I join in too? I'm trying to recover from 'Bootsing' and have two underbed drawers, a huge box, 2 bathroom cabinets, a bathroom three shelf cupboard, and three bedroom drawers full of unopened stuff - not to mention all the stuff on the go in my two bathrooms and my bedroom - plus my teenage daughter's! I have at least 30 shower gels and 25 shampoos in my stash but keep buying it by rationalising that whatever happens I will always need to be clean.
And I'm not remotely 'high maintainance'! My Mum cuts my hair, I clip my nails , hardly wear make-up and only remember to pluck when I see Noel Gallagher looking back at me in the mirror.
I told my OH no toileteries for Christmas - and he bought me a Boots voucherSo I am going to try and be good and only spend it on medicines or TOTM things.
So I pledge, no adding to my stash unless I have run out of all permutations of a product. Except for some make-up as I don't wear much and don't really have back-ups. Or do I?
Good luck ladies ( and any gents!)

Really fighting temptation to spend £20 in Lush. They give you a ton of freebies if you do BUT do I actually NEED any of these 'freebies'? Noooooooooo!! Evil Lush!
Keep fighting - I still have a tub full of the bath bombs I got for next to nothing last January. I think the thing with Lush is that the products are so seductive to buy that you can't bring yourself to use them up ..... then when finally you do they are a disappointment. But that's just my opinion.
And getting the glitter out of the bath is a b.itch.0 -
Lush - I don't like. I can't stomach the smell of the shop enough to go in. *bonus point for me*
Another *bonus point* - I decanted a handcream into a mini pot and threw away the big one. It looks so much more manageable to use up now I've decanted and I'll probably use it more.
*bonus point* I've finished my St Tropez scrub (and don't have another scrub in stock except soap and glory what a shame) so that is container 2 in the bin
*bonus point* finished a mini shampoo off only because i was too lazy to go in the loft for more shampoo so used the mini up.container 3 - being used for decanting purposes
*bonus point* finished a face wash but *panic stations* I'm using my "spare" so I'll have to get another in stock when it is on offer. container 4 in the bin
I agree "One on the go, one in stock" seems like an acceptable rule. I also panic when I start to run out and stockpile leading to the current dilemma.
I also found the 18 boxes of cotton bud I'd bough when Boots did an offer. Bad, times.
I think the worst thing is when you stockpile then go off the shower gel/face cream etc. after half way through - thats when the hoarding begins.
I love how popular this thread is!
I also stockpile when items are on special - but usually just things that I use a lot, so deodorant, shampoo, conditioner. Other things not so much. However - on top of my vintage lipstick I also found a box of 40 tampax at the back of the cupboard which would have been a useful find up until about 10 years ago when I had the coil fitted:D. No use for them since, and I suspect that I am never going to need them again at my age:o Not sure I can face putting them on Freecycle though - anyone think of any MSE uses for them? Polite ones only please;):D"there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -
That happened to me with Botanics too  new stuff though  got all sorts of goodwill "sorry" offers from Boots after I complained their sensitive range had brought me out in what can only be described as nettle rash!

I rarely use moisturisers - but if I do then I love Avon's Dry Skin Relief because it really does melt in and doesn't have a heavy scent. If I want a perfumed one then I also like the Royal Jelly one from Boots Really hate sticky moisturisers:o"there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0
