Is anyone here keeping count of the cash they spend when falling off wagon? I think I will!

I remembered a thought a friend of mine who was skint- but had a book BUYING obsession. She hardly got round to reading them she just didn't have time to read as many as she bought ( eg 5 a week) When she had her lightbulb moment- she said- its like I buy books to become intelligent- as if just buying them and having them in the house will make me more intelligent by osmosis! Thought it was really funny and I definitely think I feel like this about products. They make me mopre beautiful- IF I USED THEM INSTEAD OR STORING THEM lol!

I am also starting to get jittery. My job takes me out and about. I know Im going 6to be passing Boots clearance. Maybe I should go in and look for presents ( they have good baby clothes) I do probably need a conditioner as Im about to use a dreg and will prob be down to the last one in stores...
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

It is crazy not to use them up, as they are not doing us any good sitting on the shelf, pretty as the bottles are!! I have to say, my skin (body) is really starting to feel softer with all the scrubbing and moisturising it's having at the mo! :)

Maybe less temptation if you pop in the £shop for one!

OMG I have a HUGE bugbear that I only realised this morning whilst I was cleaning out my new Christmas products.... those huge trays of eyeshadows/ lipglosses/ blushers that they insert in a make up bag or box! They'r always huge and where the heck do you keep them- they always end up crumbling everywhere or getting stuff stuck in them! Why can't they just put things in proper cases!

    Arrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhh

Anyway... OUT: A bottle of Johnsons baby shampoo, some baby oil, a 2in1 shampoo I picked up by mistake thinking it was conditioner and I finished a pot of body scrub off this morning too

I used the dregs of a shower gel last night... when I say used, I mean I squirted it down the shower drain! In my defence the drain was a little grubby and the shower gel did the trick!

I am really pleased as I put 12 items on Ebay, have sold the BIN, 7 have bids, the rest have watchers.

This was all products that I would not use so am really pleased.

Bought my friend's son who is 18 in March the men's Soap & Glory travel bag for £5.51, so really pleased.

Haha that's cheating you can't just squirt stuff down the drain! :D

wow, i feel like i'm failing womenkind here :(
saw the thread yday and thought it was such a good idea, but i'm really NOT a make-up/toiletries girl..just the basics, and those are usually bought when they run out in the next tesco visit..my boots points are only about 76p, gained only from popping in for sandwiches..

i was inspired to have a clear-out of my box of nail polishes, though..i have a lot of them, although had to throw about half away as they were old and gross..will endeavour to start using those, but i don't think that really counts for the challenge..

good luck to all who are doing it though :)

Not if you are a Bootser! They basically pay you to take it away. That's the problem. It's like refusing free stuff.

I think they actually did with me , last weekend.

Before Xmas, I was unwisely lured to the Grabbit thread and succumbed to a Boots glitch thread whereby you got the free gift worth £22 if you spent £25 (I think) on No 7, by buying the No7 Pedicure Set reduced to £8.99, which was still permitting the free gift at checkout. (ARE YOU STILL WITH ME?!)

So I got the free gift which was nice in an unnecessary-sort-of-way, but in the cold light of January thought what the ****did I buy this stupid pedicure set for? Last Sat took it back to Boots, without the receipt, as they will exchange unwanted gifts, noticed on the shelf, the pedicure sets (slightly different packaging) were back up to normal price and when I went to the till, it scanned as £24.99 towards an exchange........:D

Paid the extra and exchanged for my Protect and Perfect on 3 for 2. Already got 1 spare jar in stock from last 3 for 2 offer, and DD has bought the other 2 jars from me to use as part of my pressie, 1 for Mother's day and 1 for Easter.

So 2 sets of my must-have P&P in reserve now and still managed no toiletries spend for this year!!

SPent hours on Sunday decanting bits of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner into pump dispensers in the bathroom, chucked loads of empty bottles out then and felt great, must have dripped a tiny bit on the floor, turned round, slipped and put my back out, that will certainly keep me out of Boots for ages.

I have not bought any new products (except conditioner) since August and have enough till Easter....yippee.

Why can't I get the top of Lynx shower gel bottles? DS will never know....
