Well I think I did well earlier...I saw the offer posted on here for the Body Shop sale, so went off to have a look...loads of stuff for £2 and £3 which would make great presents in an ideal world, but I know I'd end up ripping them open and using them, especially as I just love the neroli jasmin stuff... So had a look and then CLOSED the webpage...Very proud of myself... Am determined to stick to this challenge :j
well done mandymoo, I fell off the wagon :o

This thread does make me chuckle! I love it!

Right well, I was a bit naughty this morning and threw away my Botanics toner which still had about 3 days' of use left, just so I could get going with my new one. That's my biggest problem - getting bored, buying new and wasting the old. Very annoyed with myself. If I hadn't taken the bin out I'd be tempted to fish about and get it out.

Another thing that's annoying me is I've totally run out of hair mousse - something I use every day but don't have a reserve stock of. Why is this? I have mountains of body creams that I never use but something this essential runs out and I have nothing! Aarrgghh!! :rotfl:

Done a huge blitz today. Tired now. Cleaned both bathrooms top to toe and had a huge sort out of family's toiletries. They are much more down sized now. We had a couple of huge dispensers so I added all the dregs, bits out of all sorts of products in to each dispenser. Which one will be used for bubble bath, hair conditioner, and hand wash. We now have a much smaller collection. Took two TESCO carrier bags of empty bottles out to bin by doing this.

Then I got all my moisturisers out and emptied them all in to a empty hair conditioner tub I had which holds 400ml. Then did the same with the shower gels/scrubs, mixed them up and put them in another tub. I got rid of 4 containers this way.

Forgive me peeps because I have sinned!! I bought (wait for it) THREE S&G handwashes in Boots today!!!

    There are mitigating factors:

    They were only £2 each
We are actually out of handwash so one is for our bathroom
I will buy cheap shower gel to refill the bottle forever
The other two are for gifts to go with my unwanted S&G bits from my sets
I paid with points so no cash changed hands!!!

    Am I forgiven?

    2 x Olay face scrubs
1 x Nivea facial wash gel
1 x No 7 Protect and Perfect serum
    1 x Nivea Visage Moisturiser
1 x Simple 'Kind to Skin' Moisturiser
    1 x Clinique Clarifying Lotion (v.large)
    1 x Clinique Facial soap
1 x Clinique anti blemish body spray
    Loads of Clinique/Clarins miniatures

I really must keep away from cosmetics... I think I buy so much to make myself feel happy, but I really should find a hobby instead!

Wowee! That will keep you going for...ages! ;)

Tip: stash the Clinique soap and use up the liquids first as I have a bar of that and it lasts for absolutely AGES! (In fact, they are so big I cut mine in two as I knew I would keep dropping it in the shower. The great thing was that when I eventually used up the first one, I had a second one to keep me going! :j) You might get through them faster this way...

You could also sell some to make yourself some money. ;)

Thanks Pickle... I would sell some stuff, but I have opened most of it. I will post some of the unopened S&G stuff to my Mum who is in Australia as she will love it! I think my stash will keep me going for years! (and that list isn't even all of it)!

I also agree with tara747 when she says 'We run out of essentials cos they're boring!! We buy lots of completely unnecessary smellies cos they're new and sexy and exciting'. That is me all over, I never have stockpiles of toothpaste or anything boring and necessary like that!

I was all set to start listing the bathroom stuff....

then I found a bag in the shower that had another 6 out of date (so cant really use them for presents) lush packs from last years grab bag sale....

So this is the start of it (bearing in mind that Im going to have to open all the Lush sets to see if theres anything that I can give away though I will more likely ebay them as I dont agree with one of the Lush standings that they came up with a couple of months ago,I swore not to shop there again, and all my mates know that I dont,so I cant really give it to them in case they think I have!!!)
I also havent split things into smalls and bigs of each - but I have hardly any tiny things as I tend to decant the bigger pots out.

    6 lush sets.
    1 Foot powder
    1 Cooling leg gel.
    2 Deodorant
    3 Body Spray
5 Bubble Baths (one of those is made up of 4 open ones and is now a really interesting colour...)
    10 Bath Bombs
    3 Body scrubs
    15 Shower Gels
    6 Shampoos
    6 Conditioner
    2 Hand squeezy soap
    25 Bars of soap
    3 Nail Varnish Remover
3 Perfumes (to add to the ones in my bedroom already listed!)
    2 Sun block
    1 Aftersun
    5 Facial Scrub
    4 Hair remover cream
    3 Body Lotions
    2 Handcreams
    2 toothpastes
    3 packs of wipes
    3 packs of always ultra

    OMG......

and lets not forget my bedroom stuff -
    7 mascaras, 8 Lipsticks, 3 eyeshadows, 3 foundations and 2 eyebrow pencils??!!!!!!!!!!!

and I really should be celluliteless once Ive used up the 3 creams for that, and have the smoothest body about - 3 HUGE body butters, and 3 lotions....

and as for the 11 hair products......

and the 3 s&g hat boxes and the travel set !!!!!!!

I have just done a basic list of shower gels etc. that I have in my drawer. Most of them came from sets from QVC and I still have the receipt and when they were bought (generally from QVC you get fresh stock so I'm told). So, I now know which ones to use first as usually the shelf life of an unopened product is about 2 years I think. So I will only have 1 or 2 products open at a time and not open anything else ( not even to smell the fragrance) until the old bottle is used up.

Shower products in order of use:
L'occitane cherry blossom (bought oct 08)
Origins gloomaway body scrub (bought dec 08)
Molton Brown Sensual hanelini (bought dec 08)
L'occitane Rose Nuit de Mai (bought june 09)
L'occitane shea shower cream (bought june 09)
L'occitane Almond shower oil (bought oct 09)
L'occitane Grape shower oil (bought oct 09)
    L'occtiane travel sizes x 6 (bought oct 09)
    Molton Brown 100ml x 6 + eucalyptus 300ml (gift dec 09)

Just feel I can get a grip of what I've got and what I can use now!

However, not sure what others feel about shelf life etc, products being opened or unopened. If you have many different bottles half used on your bathroom shelf for 4 or 5 years, is using them going to do you any harm??
