Forgive me peeps because I have sinned!! I bought (wait for it) THREE S&G handwashes in Boots today!!!

    There are mitigating factors:

    They were only £2 each
We are actually out of handwash so one is for our bathroom
I will buy cheap shower gel to refill the bottle forever
The other two are for gifts to go with my unwanted S&G bits from my sets
I paid with points so no cash changed hands!!!

    Am I forgiven?

With all those mitigating factors how could you not be forgiven?
Are you climbing back on the wagon now?

I have just done a basic list of shower gels etc. that I have in my drawer. Most of them came from sets from QVC and I still have the receipt and when they were bought (generally from QVC you get fresh stock so I'm told). So, I now know which ones to use first as usually the shelf life of an unopened product is about 2 years I think. So I will only have 1 or 2 products open at a time and not open anything else ( not even to smell the fragrance) until the old bottle is used up.

Shower products in order of use:
L'occitane cherry blossom (bought oct 08)
Origins gloomaway body scrub (bought dec 08)
Molton Brown Sensual hanelini (bought dec 08)
L'occitane Rose Nuit de Mai (bought june 09)
L'occitane shea shower cream (bought june 09)
L'occitane Almond shower oil (bought oct 09)
L'occitane Grape shower oil (bought oct 09)
    L'occtiane travel sizes x 6 (bought oct 09)
    Molton Brown 100ml x 6 + eucalyptus 300ml (gift dec 09)

Just feel I can get a grip of what I've got and what I can use now!

However, not sure what others feel about shelf life etc, products being opened or unopened. If you have many different bottles half used on your bathroom shelf for 4 or 5 years, is using them going to do you any harm??

what lovely products! I normally go by scent. If it smells strange to you then best not chance it.

Phew, only up to page 6 and WOW, what a lot of stuff ya all have!!!

I wound down my tolitries a couple of years ago and used everything up. Just a thought but, with all those toiltries being used do you think perhaps a sort of 'product review' would be helpful??!! So for example your using a body moistriser up but you feel the one you were using before was better, a sort of name and shame thing!! I know for me personally i would love that ifo before i buy. Very MSE and helping others too.

What i found when i wound my toiltries down was that i adore dove products (deodrants, body moistriser soap) but i HATE S&G, sorry i know some of you love it but i find the smells really overpowering and headache inducing!!

    Sharron x

Just to add, the product review is not meant to encourage buying, just to give a bit of info iyswim!!

Im definately joining in this challenge, have been lurking around. My problem is im a bargain grabber, and Im not a keen bootser ( dont have the time!) I do frequently pass Boots clearance and come away with a couple of bags full of "stuff". Also topped up with a few of the 10p superdrug grabbits the other day. I always find fantastic stuff in our local 99p stores too, and Im a homebargain shopper to boot! So I have a lot of gear

I have a lot of stuff so, will be back later after Ive had a big delve to see whats where
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

We run out of essentials cos they're boring!! We buy lots of completely unnecessary smellies cos they're new and sexy and exciting :D

So true! There's something eternally dull about buying hair mousse. Oh well - at least it's in a pretty pink can! :rotfl:

I've also worked out I need some nail varnish remover (again, dull). I didn't include my nail varnish collection as it's just too hideous to contemplate... but when I think about it, I do wear nail varnish all the time and like to mix my colours, so refuse to feel too badly about my collection! Do I have you all convinced? :o

And one final thing... I've just spent £16 (but all Paypal profits) on ELF, for new makeup brushes, some foundation primer and an eye liner. After our chat about cleaning makeup brushes I went and looked at mine and they actually were horrible - beyond repair. I learnt my lesson there and will keep them in tip top condition from now on! :)
