  • Seriously need to have a go at this. Could not even begin to count my stash of stuff (4 big crates full - including about 40 cans of gents deodorant from the last Boots glitch). Of course there's the S & G hatbox and the Lush stuff from the sale and all the stuff in the bathroom & shower-room. Got enough perfume to last me the next year at least - loads and loads of little miniature bottles too. Only thing I may need to buy for a long time is shampoo. Great thread.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

Is it wrong that I am actively willing my current tube of moisturiser to run out?!

I'm definately in on this one, I'm terrible for picking up beauty 'bargains' in the sales and using those boots mocs. I have face creams, make up, bath stuff, shampoo and conditioner, body butters, scrubs, lip balms, polishes and soap enough to last me until summer. :rotfl:

Thanks happy lottie, realised I have used none of them, its the S&G stuff, so will give that to sis. Still feel guilty though!
If you feel guilty about giving S&G away to family I can happily send you my address :D

I recycled a lot of my stash into lovely xmas hampers for family & friends, I bought some cheapie baskets in the pound shop, cellophane & bows from Ebay amd I was away.

My niece was 21 this year and can only use the simple range, so I made her a beauty hamper with 21 simple items and added tweezers, eyelash curlers, toe seperators etc & bought a white towel & flannel for a £1.00 and her basket was lovely.

My sister had a time delay basket which was collected using the £5.00 off coupons from Boots & various glitches.

My auntie had a sanctuary basket which was put together using the £5.00 off coupons from Boots/various glitches & sale items that i picked up during the year.

Friends were given shower gels, soap's & body lotion wrapped in tissue paper purchased from the poundshop & presented in gift bags.

All of the above items only cost a few pounds and saved me loads of money, all the recipients loved the thought that had gone into the baskets and it reduced my "extensive stash".

I've done pretty well so far - I used to have a shower gel 'display' on my windowsill (I kid you not - they were the summer range from Avon and looked so gorgeous I refused to actually use them - it drove OH up the wall!!!) and so far I have used 2 of them!!! Really proud of myself!! :rotfl:

Ooh, I really want to buy some MAC make-up brushes but I can't justify it at the minute. :( They only come out in sets at Christmas time as well. :(:(
