Oh and for anyone who wants to try and get rid of their stash...has anyone tried Make up Alley?
It is a "swap" place but alot of people are willing to buy and sell make up instead of just swapping it.
Would also get around the "no buying anything" rule im assuming as your swapping one thing for another.0 -
I think I have found my new home - I have at least 5 stacking crates full of unopened stuff as well as the stuff thats opened! I think I can probably go the whole year without buying anything. My problem is I can't resist a bargain.0
-
Yay me!!!!
They had Lancome Hypnose Mascara on offer in John Lewis and I didn't buy them, despite the fact I have no spare mascaras, only the one I am using (opened Christmas Day).
Feeling powerful and I didn't go into Boots to buy the Gok stuff either.
I used up first product this morning - a Batiste Dry Shampoo so I have put £1.65 in the pot.0 -
I've never washed my brushes. They look fine! I do feel bad about it now though... I feel a New Year's Resolution coming on!
I went to Boots today and bought toner as I used the last of mine this morning. Wanted to get hair mousse while I was there as well but they didn't stock it. Does anyone else have a problem getting hold of L'Oreal Studio Line Hot Volume hair mousse? I keep thinking they've discontinued it but then come across it in another Boots/Superdrug.0 -
Id like to join too please
My signature is already done as i wanted to stop buying smellies anyway, and now ive found this challenge it must be fate
To give you an idea of what a bath and shower freak i am, i thought i would write down the things i have in an attempt to truely realise that i dont need anymore! Some things date back to about 3 years ago.
All my smellies are from Molton Brown, Body Shop, Philosophy, L'occatine, Sanctuary etc etc. (i used to shop at QVC)
Ok here it goes- 19 tubes/tubs of body scrub (50ml to 400ml)
- 25 bottles of shower bath/shower gel (200ml)
- 16 bottles of bath/shower gel (50ml to 100ml)
- 7 tubs of body butter (50ml to 200ml)
Everything is brand new, not opened and in addition to everything i am using and getting through at the moment!
I also have spray deo, body lotion, nail varnish remover, shampoo and conditioner, spot treatments, wipes and a rather large stash of cotton pads and ear buds.
Someone slap me, im out of control!!:eek:Saving my pennies for my wedding on 10th August 2013!:j

Oh I think I'll join this too!! I've got stacks and stacks of toiletries. I really mean it! The OH works for Boots and we really took advantage of the staff discount day last year saving over £400!! I've got enough P&P facecreams for a year. Also, the OH brings home carrier bags of stuff (cost £5 for charity) and they include P&P, s&G, No7, FCUK, and more. Also, theres the staff shop......
On top of that I got shower gels and bath stuff for xmas!!
I'm aiming to not buy anthing expect toothpast, floss & mouthwash for a year!!£2019 in 2019 #44 - 864.06/20190 -
