Okay, here it is... my list! I am really, honestly shocked with how much I have. Especially because I had a massive clear out only a few months ago and threw/gave away lots of stuff. Eeep!

    Burt's Bees peppermint foot lotion
    Burt's Bees body lotion
    Burt's Bees cuticle wax
Body Shop cocoa butter body butter
    Butterfly body butter
    Dove gradual tanner (nearly empty)
    Vaseline foot lotion X3

    L'occitane hand cream
    Clinique body scrub
    Sure deodorant minis X2

    Toothpaste X4
    Mudd face mask X2
    Floss
    Vitamin E face wash
    Vitamin E cleanser
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream X2
    Face moisturiser X2
    Botanics toner (nearly empty)
    Cucumber face wash
    Organic Source face wash
    Cucumber face wipes

    Other:
    Lush bubble bars X4
    Molton Brown hand wash
    Molton Brown hand cream
    Original Works bubble bath

So looking at this list, I'll need some hair mousse, toner and possibly gradual tanner when summer comes. I'm so glad I did this as I'll definitely refer back to this to remind me of everything I have squirrelled away before I take a trip to Boots! :)

Just thought as well... this doesn't include my makeup bag, which is obscene, or the millions of lip balms I have floating about the house. Yikes!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Fwiw I'd be prepared to buy a friend something they would use, or at the very least a coffee, for things they wouldn't but I would. Body lotions/butters seem something loads of people don't use as much as me from this thread (though I do think you should all embrace the body moisturising thing!). The reason I would be less keen with people I don't know is I'd be slightly concerned about any skin conditions etc...

i love body butter............ but never use it.

And I am using my last 2 (they are tiny) hot apple pie and cinneman (yes they smelll LUSHHHH) bath bombs tonight. Noww - if i use a face mask i will have to buy more (i am addicted to the superdrug chocolate and raspberry ones) ..... boooo.

  • Hi all, well have decided to join this thread as i am truely addicted to Boots, cosmetics etc. The only thing i will need to buy is deodorant, foot scrub and hand wash as i only have a couple of those and do use them regularly, but ive got perfume, body butter etc coming out of my ears and strangely enough im actually finding it quite stressful. So i will really need your help to stay on track pls..

    Nab
    xx

Goding through more of our stash I really am beginning to think DH needs this more than I...we have LOADS of unfinished aftershaves, shaving foams etc. ne of the things we have found really expensive in flight restrictions, DH travels a lot and takes hand luggage....work travelling, so has a permanantly packed travel wash bag...ut still, seems to pick stuff up. Some things are ust so uneconimical travel sized and difficult to decant: toothpaste, shaving foam...and hair product is difficult too. :(

Can you not buy a kit of those travel bottles which you could refill with his products and put in his hand luggage? You can get them in supermarkets: my mum got some a few weeks ago at Mr T's. It would use up some of his excess toiletries and mean he doesn't have to buy the small travel sizes.

Sweet baby J and the orphans!!! Wow i thought i was bad. Can i ask how you got 18 hairbrushes?

I've not added up my makeup as a bit scared of that! If i wanted to i could locate enough pots a vaseline to put me into double figures without actually looking for them. I'm scared of how many lip glosses i have.

I do have a set of 8 or 10 mini nails inc varnishes that i bought and haven't even used yet so i might Ebay these.
  • Wow, pleased to see how many have joined the challenge. Looks like we can expect shares in boots & superdrug to drop drastically over the next few weeks!

Someone mentioned how to work out how much we have saved. I have given it some thought and decided that
to work out how much money I have saved, when I finish an item of shampoo or conditioner (or other toiletries in my stash,) I am going to put the approx cost into a savings tin. When I am down to my last item of each, and actually HAVE to buy something, then I will count up my cash.

I will need to buy toothpaste & deoderant in a few weeks, so I'm not counting them. For some reason I don't stockpile those. So only counting items in my stash! I'm not sure if this would work for anyone else? I suppose everytime you really want to buy something, BUT don't you could put that money away?

    katiex

I LOVE this idea :T:T Definitely going to be doing this as i have a sealed pot given to my last Xmas that i've not used so this will stop me dipping into it and cheating.
