If you put this phrase into your search engine of choice, it will lead you to some useful and possibly scary information about shelf life. Especially useful to the ladies I saw applying their makeup when travelling into Birmingham via bus. Did I see any hand sanitising before application? Of course not! imagine how many people get on the bus in the morning, have done goodness knows what and not washed their hands afterwards_pale__pale__pale_
I hope to read of an outbreak of brush cleaning, sponge replacement and the clatter of bin lids as the old stuff goes out! Sorry to sound like Kim and/or Aggie, but it's for your own good!

I know what you mean, i am crazy about things like that! I never ever touch my face with my hand without using sanitising gel!
I clean my brushes with MAC brush cleanser after every use, and deep clean then once a week, washing them with baby shampoo!

I also go through my entire make up collection once a month ans spray all my eyshadows and pressed powders with rubbing alcohol to kill any build up of bacteria.

I don't think people need to worry too much, unless one has some kind of immunity problem. Simple sensible washing with soap and water and care where skin is broken (cuts/ spots/ chapped skin) and in particular eyes are concerned is probably enough for most people, imo!

Why don't you ebay them? There's sellers there selling them at Buyitnow prices. Better than just using them up pointlesssly!! I think I've seen people post to say they're good for cleaning leather furniture!

I'd like to join please :D I haven't got a huge stockpile of anything and I don't really have an obsession with buying either but really need to stop buying silly little things here and there. It all adds up and I really can't afford it :o

I'll edit later when I sort out what bits I've got. I'm really gonna try hard at this and hopefully save some pennies (that I'm NOT going to spend when I see bargins posted in the grab it now section)

Right heres the small list of bits I've got to use

    Shower gel x 5 and a bit
    Shampoo x 2 and a bit
    Conditioner 1/2
    Body butter x 4
    Hand cream x 3
    Soap x 4
    Moistoriser x 1/2 eeeek
    Cleanser x 2
    S&G hatbox

All my makeup is pretty much up to date and I don't have any spares apart from sample sizes. I very much doubt this lot will last me a whole year but at least this will stop me shovelling stuff in the trolley at the supermarket.
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.

    Hi

    Can I join please?

I currently have lots of opened stuff and also new pressies etc. so won't be buying more until its all used up. I think that will be at least six months, except for maybe toothpaste.

On the make-up and cleansing front, sorry to sound like an old fogey, but I have never cleaned my makeup, don't use it often enough, some of it is 5 years old. I also don't generally wash my hands before applying make up and surprise surprise I'm still alive!

Every time I have been applying my make up I have been using one of the many lip glosses and lipsticks from my collection, if I don't like the colour I just bin it, no point keeping it if I'm never going to use it and they have been in there for ages
  • Hi Trudji thanks for the welcome and i know a few people that are just like my signature in attitude lol.

    RETURN some perfume:eek:. I had bought it with points and just dont need it so took it back and will use the points when my stash has reduced a bit or for kids clothes etc when necessary, talking of which the £3 moc in the baby mag works on sale items as long as they were £10 prior to the sale price. So i got my dd some gorgeous flannel pjs yesterday;
    £13 full price
    £6.50 in sale
£3.50 after minimode moc. I believe primark flannel pjs for kids upto 4 are £4.50 so this is quite a good deal hth.
Princeswoo i think ? With the massive stash ? How big is your house:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. I darent make a list, ive already got stash stress:o. Anyhow be strong folks
    See you later

    Nab
