Just cleaned out my wardrobe, very ashamed to say I've only been here since september (uni) and the amount i've accumulated(sp) :o...
I've found LOADS of clarins, clinique, origins, space NK trials from a thing they were doing at bluewater, along with a full size bottle of the blue clarins perfume. Also found lingerie unworn so will list on eBay.

    Well...

Tesco were selling off bits and pieces for 10p. I got 3 x baby bath for my little nephew, 5 x toothbrushes and 3 packs of venus blades (would've taken more, but it was like a blood bath already down there :rotfl:) and a peach melba bath bomb. Venus blades are my favourite and the tootbrushes won't go off.

At the moment, my favourite body moisturiser is jergens - the green one, very moisturising and such a pretty smell.

Used the bath bomb for dd's bath this evening. WIBA? Yea, why not. It smelt pretty. I do like bubbles though.

    No7 Blissful bodywash (sample size)
WIBA? It smelt lovely and did its job, but I'm having a bit of a love affair with FCUK shower stuff atm, so no.

    Pantene intensive hair conditioner.
    Wouldn't buy again.

    Ghost serenity body lotion.
This is older than my dd :o
WIBA? Like the anna sui stuff, I wouldn't specifically go out and buy it, but it was an ok product (especially for being so old :o). Will add £2.

Boots 'spa' body lotion. From a giftset.
WIBA? No, this made my skin peel  Will add £2 for this.

I always seem to finish things in little batches! :rotfl: On the plus side, I can start using my better products for pamper nights instead of trying to use the stuff that came in gift sets :rotfl:

Had to give away Nivea shimmer body lotion, it was horrid; just felt far too greasy for me, £1 x 3 and fudge daily shampoo and conditioner. This smelt delicious and I really wanted to like it, but my hair didn't look like it'd been washed at all - even when it had just been dried! £3.50

Total used (and/or given away £173.39) - WIBA 44.5% It's gone down :o (to be fair, it had gone up until I added in the stuff I've given away :A)

Todays lesson - don't bulk buy (nivea x 3) unless you've tried and liked that specific product. Liking the product sitting next to it on the self will not ensure that you like that one too

Sorry for the long post :o

LOL, I know...:o . DH has curly hair too, so he's plodding through the stuff I've tried and don't like...:o:owhich makes me feel a bit guilty.

......but it might suit his hair!!

Boo!! I bought L'Oreal shampoo and conditioner the other day as all mine had been used up. I used to use it ages ago and it was fine, but now it definitely doesn't make my hair as soft and shiny as the Dove I've been using . It's in 400ml bottles too and I'm fairly gutted however DD has agreed to swap her part-used Dove Pro-Age which she loves (Pro-Age shampoo at 21 ???) for the L'Oreal. (The power of Cheryl??).
I'm bugged because if she doesn't like it, she'll have no compunction in buying something else and then what are we gonna do with it? Let's hope she loves it.

Just when I thought we'd got rid of the cheapie body lotions, DD appears home from work with an M&S almond hand cream freebie they'd been given. Bring on summer's flip flops.......my feet are ready. Been slathering on the M&S stuff and wearing the little socks in bed (not so glam) every night this week and they haven't looked this soft for ages and should manage to use up the rest of the almond stuff by the end of the week.

Used up a sachet of Nivea Radience Boosting Daily Scrub on my hands....tiny sachet so presume it must be for face. WIBA? No. Quite fine grains, but WAY too perfumed for facial use I think. I am lookiing for a good but very gentle facial scrub (mature skin, I suppose I have to say, if that makes any difference where scrubs are concerned ). Happy to use a home-made scrub on hands, feet and body but prepared to invest in something gentle but effective for face. Any recommendations?

Tomorrow I am going to chuck a Hugo Boss Intense Shimmer body lotion we've had for ages. I tried it on my feet the other night and the perfume was sooooo strong. I put it on my hands and it was irritating my skin when I touched my face. It also has a weird irridescent pearly effect that makes you look like you could be one of those "living statues"! I've tried my best, but the bin it is!! Also to go is the Garnier Summer Body which no-one on Freecycle wanted either! I've got a couple of small Mark Hill hair products, a hairspray and a straightening balm from gift sets a couple of years ago.....they're the dregs of the stash, I've not used them and I don't think we will, so much as it grieves me, realistically, the bin it will have to be!!

I finished a benefit honey scrub this evening/morning... Wiba? I didn't actually buy it but don't think it's worth the £20odd it costs!!! Just using a sample of 'vanishing cream' by Lush. It smells beautiful and has pretty much sunk in.

:rotfl:We are all guilty of not doing all the bits of common sense at some point, else we wouldn't be here. Personally, I will just be soooo glad of all the extra space this is creating, and the fact that I don't have to spend any money in the meantime on all this stuf. Win/win! :T

I totally agree. I love benefit stuff, but also felt that this just wasn't worth the money. No better than St Ives scrub, imo :)

    Tell me about it!

I had all the tubes of lotions that had dribs and drabs left in them on my bedside table - it's been great to see them disappear one by one. And my skin feels amazing by actually using them and not just leaving them to look pretty :o

A lyle&scott sale has just been posted, can get a cashmere cardigan for me and a jumper for my oh for £55 together..sooo tempted.
  • That is such good advice about bulk buying stuff that you've never tried before... I am guilty of it, too. I think another problem with bulk buying is that once you've got through your 11th bottle of the same shampoo/conditioner/*insert product here* you are SO sick of it that you never want to use it again!

Temptation set in again today... this time it was in B&M. They had Benefit body wash for £1.79. I'm not much of a body wash/bubble bath person, but it caught my attention as it seemed cheap? I didn't buy it though!
