I've bought nothing and been tempted by nothing, but am yet to finish up any bottles yet.0

I have learned the hard way never to wait till I go away to buy suncream... it is ALWAYS cheaper here.
I know...my head was up my bum when I was packing! I forgot my piz buin but worse than that, I forgot my prescription sunglasses! So I bought a cheap pair of 5 euro ones and wore them on top of my glasses. Very :money:Oh my god. I want your avvy
Ha ha! I thought I really needed to change from the Christmas baubles and seeing as I am such a Domestic Goddess it is very appropriate
I clicked on reply by mistake, so going back to read the rest of the thread0 -
Finished up the Boots Botanics deep cleansing shampoo today. WIBA? Yes - assuming they still make it as this one was years old! I do like a build-up remover shampoo for when I'm straightening my hair a lot as by the time I've used a heat defence product and a straightening balm I feel it needs a "proper" clean every so often. The Botanics one smells lovely and leaves your hair feeling really clean.
I've also been through my stash of mini sizes and sachets to sort out stuff I want to take on holiday when we go - we'll be away for a fortnight and want I want to do ideally is work on the basis that a toiletries bag which will be packed full when we go, will be pretty much empty when we come back. The advantages of heading off to a remote Scottish island is that makeup-wise I only need to take tinted moisturiser, a sample size foundation, a sample size powder, mascara and lipgloss, and I would hazard a guess that those last four items will only see the light of day once or twice while we're away! :rotfl: Needless to say, whilst sorting through for those bits I have also presented OH with mini soaps and shampoo to keep him going for the fortnight too! :T Also needless to say, I also found several sample size mascaras (which I'm going to put straight into use as there is always one with Clinique BT anyway), a mini clinique foaming wash off cleanser (hurrah - I LOVE that stuff!) a mini Clinique Seven Day Scrub, a mini superdefence moisturiser (put aside to take away as SPF 25 will be ideal for up there) and several other bits.
Started using a tiny bottle of Chloe Innocence this morning and have spent all day thinking "Mmmmm! What's that lovely smell? Oh! It's MEEEEE!"
Lynz - well done indeed on your restraint at the Boots Clearance - you did brilliantly! I looked at those glycemic peel kits too and was tempted but decided against - never used anything like that before and was a bit wary. If you like the Palmolive M&H conditioner then you might try the shower cream next time you buy as well - it's really nice and a bottle seems to last forever!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

It's the smell that I dont like either. The hand cream is great, but I gave my free sample to one of my friends as OH objected so much to the smell!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Also for anyone that remembers i put 70 items last week on ebay and i made £370!! i was so shocked. So for anyone hanging onto items that you won't use... do it!! i'm going to pay off my CC with it!
That is fab!!! Well done you :T:T:Tlostinrates wrote: »:o:o:oUm, not sure if this counts but have come to realise we have several bottles of unfinished animal shampoo too. That is TOTALLY my fault not my DH's. I think that we are the toiletry version of ''feeders'' He gets smellies for me, I get them for the animals and share mine with him, plus we buy them for ourselves. So what's that called? Smellers? scenters? Cleaners? or Primps?

Hi thifty
I've managed to finish a tiny Origins face scrub...it was only about 2.5ml I think. I remember being so disgusted at the smallness of it after I mooched all the way into Edinburgh especially for it. I think I might also make a start on my Garnier Summer Body now that I have a tan.
Right, away to bed with my hand cream and cotton gloves on.

Evening lovely ladies and a warm welcome to all the newbies! :j
I've not been having a good couple of weeks and am ashamed to admit that in a desperate attempt to cheer myself up, I succumbed to temptation and purchased a No7 topcoat using the £5 voucher and a Dove intensive moisture hand cream for overnight use with my moisturising gloves. :embarasse
On the plus side, tonight I have showered, washed and conditioned my hair, exfoliated, painted my nails a sparkly pink and am moisturised to within an inch of my life. I have also finished up:
Trevor Sorbie Straightening Addict shampoo miniature: would I buy it again?
Nope, it didn't lather particularly well and left my hair lank and greasy within 24 hours.
Body Shop mango body scrub miniature: would I buy it again?
Another no. It smelt nice, but was very greasy and was not exfoliating enough for my liking. I'm looking forward to using my Next coconut scrub soon.Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -
Ok so I went to Boots clearance today
I was very impressed with my restraint. I saw a number of things, then put them back as I thought- DO I NEED THAT?! GO ME :T
feel v impresed with myself as I got
Xmas cards 50p *only one pack*
Xmas tags 20p *only one* - both needed as managed to miss all the sales on these
5x trevor sorbie smooth conditioner.
N07 glycemic peel kit ( last one) this is a present for MIl though who loves NO7 facial and fairly sure she wont have had this one so not bad for £2 ( i think this was 20rrp)
{snipped}
I have the No7 Peel kit - i got it about 6 months ago when it was on special offer, but not as cheap as £2, that's amazing! I actually quite like it, though i only get around to using it once a month - must do it more often... The key thing is not to use on any dryish skin. I use it on my cheeks, nose and forehead and it's great - leaves them really smooth. But i can't put it anywhere near my chin as my skin is quite dry there, and is irritated for several days after if it goes near it!0 -
I plan on barring myself from Boots for the next 2 months because my bedroom looks like a shop. Not that I'll get through much of it in 2 months but it'll stop me adding to the clutter. Although most of the stuff was purchased at discount and it's handy not having to pay full price for replacement items.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000

I bought the No7 peel kit once when it was on offer and wasn't that impressed tbh, I found it a bit drying on my skin. I like REN's glycolactic peel - it smells (and feels) like apricot jam and leaves my skin really soft.
Anyway, I'm bathed (went for the Lush bath bomb after all), used up the last of an Origins ginger shampoo, moisturised with Karma cream (I'm a good third of the way down the pot now), face cleansed with Avene, filed my feet and covered in intensive care foot cream, and I've finished off with a squirt of the new Serge Lutens perfume - not a purchase, just a sample.0
