  • Thankfully I don't like Lush, just walking past the shop gives me a headache. Boots is my biggest downfall.

I'm going to attempt to return a perfume gift set to Boots later which I treated myself to before Christmas as I really don't need it..

Take it back - it'll make you feel so much better. If you've got the receipt you can have the money back or a gift card, if not they will need to do an exchange so you'll have to pick stuff in store that you want there and then (so have a list of things you need if that's the case!)

Well done to fairysnow too - that ebay total is fab :T:T

    I've been Money Tipped!
We love lush, but have never received Lush times.

why not stop receiving it for a while? To me its like being on a diet and surrounding yourselves with huge piles of Brownies or chocolate cake: get the temptation away from yourselves!

I will thanks, I don't have the receipt and I don't want to buy anything else, I wonder if I can spend it on a phone top up?

Ok good bit first - Avon book out on doorstep this morning with no order :A
And last night went to Boots and paid the £19.50 I made last week and 82p change I had from exchanging something before onto my boots card :A

Then the bad bit. My Mascara had gone all manky (was only a Natural Collection one and had been open a few months) and I wanted some bronzing pearls to try and reading a few articles about them so I did a 3for2 on 17 make up (got 2 Mascaras) carefully researched on the reviews on the boots website, used extra points voucher from current mag and another from the advantage card point and then used the money off my giftcard, cost about £9 with 250 (I think) extra points.

Anyway last night I threw my old mascara away, put the new one on this morning and it's fab - no irritated eyes and looks nice without being OTT, I have a little mirror on my desk at work and I have to keep checking them :).

I need to get all my make up out work out what I should get rid of (possibly the bottle of foundation I had when I got married nearly 3 1/2 years ago....) what I want to wear in future and then get any other bits I need to make this happen and then start putting it on every day - I feel so much better when I have nice subtle make up on I really should make the effort to do it every day!

No other toiletries bought in Boots though - not even all the stuff on the clearance thing that in the past I would have snapped up!

I don't have a pay as you go so don't top up there but there is no harm in trying. I'd take it to the desk and ask.

I went to buy my hair dye today and i couldn't do it!

I'm thinking of going darker, i'm a dirty blonde at the moment, want to go brown.

Do i got for semi - or permanent, I usually do semi when i go darker because it's easier to then go lighter again, but permanent have a better colour range!!

  • I personally always use semi permanent when I do it myself in case of disasters. Mind you I was rubbish at doing it myself and DH told me to have it done at a salon cos I was wasting money anyway on the kits that didn't cover my grey. I took his advice quite happily.
