I threw it away!
It didnt used to burn, but seems to nowMaybe because its so old
Bodies change. I used Mitchum for years (only because I love the smell of Talc) and then it just started to not smell good on me.The luck this time is actually, I don't need mitchum, just loved the small, so I'm now using much cheaper deodorant, usually dove of one variety or another as it always seems to be on special offer here. But it does take me AGES to choose now. I've used Mitchum more or less since I started using anti antiperspirant, never had to make choices before:o

How does it always get included in the all time beauty lists that you see in magazines?
Hun dont you know? The lists in magazines are organised by PR people.
I am so naive. I thought it was from testing by real people. I did a lot of testing for the beauty bible a little while back and I just assumed that's how all the best buys are recommended.:o. I think I might have to get a lot more cynical.
So if I could use you all as my experts please? I am looking for something to replace my lovely Luminous shine finishing spray, from the James Brown Scandalous range. Its the best finishing spray that I have found. It smells lovely and does not make my hair feel greasy or weighed down. I don't want to pay the exhorbitant £5.99 for it as I go through it in about a week.
I also don't want to wait for the £2 off voucher as I don't want to do the spend in Boots. (Can't believe I am typing that let alone actually meaning it). Also, the little nutriheat capsules that you can use with the nutriheat haidryer. They are so good for hair with a tendency to dryness but they are also an expensive habit that I need to replace. I would be very grateful for any suggestions.

Evening girls!
Well, I used Excellence Creme by L'Oreal in 'Lightest Natural Blonde'. I have medium blonde hair naturally and get very light blonde foils done every 10-12 weeks. My hair is quite long, halfway down my back. I used a wide tooth comb to apply it, so it wouldn't look block colour IYSWIM? and I am really pleased with the result. I was worried it would go yellow but it's quite ashy blonde. I'm lucky enough to have good genes, no greys yet and my mum didn't have grey hair until she was nearly 50!
I had asked a girl that lives across the road who did her hair at a party at New Year, I've always admired it from afar, and she says she's been doing it herself with this stuff for years! I admit I was terrified at first but it looks really nice. Go for it!
In other news, I'm off to the gym with the dregs of an Original Mint Source shower gel in my gym bag. It shall be used and binned and I shall come home toned, clean and smug (well maybe the last two, I'll have to work on the first one!)
I have been plucking up the courage to dye my own hair blonde and this might have just done it for me. Thanks!
And as for the Original Source Mint and Tea Tree, that is the only substance on earth that can turn me from a monster into a human being in the morning. That is the one thing that I simply could not live without. I always buy it when it's on 2 for 1 special offer and have a stash of 6 in to get me through to the next offer. It's AMAZING! :TPlease call me 'Pickle'

What do you find it does? I have a finishing spray (john Freida) and I don't think it does much. I rarely use it.
I have hair prone to be dry, and, excitingly my tip is...minimise use of the hair dryer. My hair is curly so when I do use the dryer I use it with a diffuser on mainly the lowest heat and power settings, most often I let it air dry. (A benefit of curls). But I remember when I was little and, in the main, my mother and her friends looked totally glam washing and drying once a week.I note that my mother and her close friends have often commented I wash my hair too often. I think I manage my hair fine, in fact well, because I get lots and lots of compliments about it, but I can't help wonder if sometimes I create problems I then need to remedy with all this primping:o
NB: I do mainly C/O wash. This really suits me..the tip given via the C/o washing thread about how to tell whether dry/damaged hair needs moisture or protein was REVOLUTIONARY and I've employed it constantly. The down side of curly hair is that it does need to be wet most days.0 -
hi all had my first spend today on estee lauder ideal light illuminator, ran out this morning. (i also have no other concealers) It felt really good as normally when i would go into pick something up i had finished i would always pick something else up too!
Also for anyone that remembers i put 70 items last week on ebay and i made £370!! i was so shocked. So for anyone hanging onto items that you won't use... do it!! i'm going to pay off my CC with it!0 -
I have long hair which is quite fine, but I have masses of it. I haven't used a hairdryer in decades. I wash my hair about every 4-5 days & rarely condition it all - occasionally do the ends.
I also cut the front myself, my OH trims the back for me, so I am very MSE with my hair - although I still have about 7 bottles of shampoo that I bought on offer that I'm using up before buying any more.
I think you can over wash it & alot of those sprays actually gunk up your hair attract air pollution - makes it stick to it.
If it's looking a bit dullish I add a little vinegar to tthe final rinse water - makes it really shiny - alters the PH on your scalp & I've never had dandruff or any other problems.
Unfortunately I'm noticing some grey, so may have to have a think about what to do. Is there anything I can use that would just cover the grey & nothing else? Coz I quite like my hair colour - it's all different shades.0 -

I sold bits and pieces, old buggy, some clothes, (not toiletries unfortunatly thats next weeks stuff) and made........ £50 not including P&P.
The post office is gonna love you!!!!loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I've used some more stuff up over the weekend, hurray! I'm sitting with the end of a Superdrug mud mask tube on my face, finished a pack of facewipes, a (half empty mini) tube of toothpaste, and a conditioner sachet. :j
Finished so far:
2 x face mask sachets
1 x facemask tube
Shampoo sachet
conditioner sachet
Body lotion sachet
Dior body lotion sample
Elemis eye gel large sample
No 7 P&P 5ml sample
Prescriptives face serum sample
Clarins moisturising face mask tube
2 x toothpaste
I did have to go shopping at the weekend though, but only bought necessities: toothpaste (1 tube!) and a pack of disposable razors - i only shave my underarms, so am a little fed up shelling out for expensive Gillette if i'm not sure i need it! And everything was from a pound/99p store.
So my spend so far is: £8.99.
What would I buy again:- Definitely Body Shop body butter, but not at full price!
- Lush "A crash course in skincare" mask - i have an open one i'm working through, it's so nice i don't want to wash it off!
- Clinique: clarifying lotion, dram different moisturiser, and superbalanced foundation - these have all been my staples for a few years. BUT I do intend to temporarily replace these with the random moisturisers and tinted moisturiser i have til those are used up (including Benefit You rebel light, with i love as well!). And I wouldn't mind trying OCM at some point...
- I loved the Elemis eye sample i had - Elemis Pro Collagen Eye Renewal. I really want to get it, and do think i saw a difference in just 2 weeks, but it's £55+ Hopefully i'll find something as good for less money in amongst my stash and sample hunting.
It's quite nice to weed out the junk0 -
Used up a face mask sachet tonight, a sample size bottle of shower gel and a sample size bottle of body lotion. Last night, I finished off a can of body spray. Don't think I'll be buying again of them again, especially the face mask as it made my skin feel sore afterwards.ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0

OK: re PYNM, thank you, thank you...I'm not so glad I have done this....I never wear a neutral nail colour and it look so nice! I'm a amazed. My ratty nails look almost smart again (they'd recently all broken).
Also, I'm now getting seriously excited about duty free and might need reining in. I'm definitely taking a list...
I will need Estee Lauder night serum, and might buy the new whizzy twice a year make you gorgeous one two.
The moisturisers I'm hoping to eek out might be looking different in a couple of weeks....I don't know what to get if I'm near replacing...
and...
mascara. I almost always buy a mascara airside. I'm always disappointed. To buy or not to buy? If I buy.....sigh....where is the most comprehensive and upto date place to read reviews? I'll spend anything if its actually going to do what I want it too (define and LENGTH).
That's three (four?) things. No perfume...no lipstick...no eye shadows or eye pencils....(maybe a cheap black liquid liner if I have too many fluids to take through:o) and planned purchases ....I just have to think abut moisturisers and mascaras....
