  • As ive said before i have about 76 Liz Earle products, mostly bought from TSV's or the kits on her site but they must still work out at about £10 each = thats roughly £700 say

I only discovered Liz Earle last year and was clever how i did it. I bought a set that had the cleanser and polish, skin tonic and moisturiser in but it also came with a foot duo and a body wash and hand cream so i kept the three basics for myself and gifted the rest to a friend who already uses LE. I did also keep an exfoliator for myself.

If you have any LE items you want to sell i'd be happy to take them off your hands as i'm going to be needing some bits soon and don't want to be tempted to spend too much on QVC.

I saw someone on my local Freecycle giving makeup away - was it one of you ladies? :D

I feel very virtuous as I resisted all the offers in Tesco today :A

Wow i don't dare do mine!! I have just sold on ebay two bottles of Molton Brown shower gel and a Molton Brown hand cream that i managed not to open the minute they arrived.

I have gone through some of my stuff today and taken pictures that realistically I'm probably not going to use or bought because it seemed like a good idea at the time so that I can put them on ebay. It's not a lot, maybe about a dozen items, but at least it's a start.

I've also decided that as I have loads of shower gels I'm going to also use them for hand wash as and when they need replacing as I don't have half as many hand washes as I do shower gels. That should help make the stash go down.

  • That is a good idea but i already have 3 hand washes in my stash and they are Avon ones which seem to last for ages. Had the current one on the go for about 3 months and only just used over half the bottle.

See if you can get your items on ebay today as it is free to list just for today - take it look.

I have absolutely no idea! It could have been last year, but it might have even been the year before.

I've just searched the HB thread and it was April 2008  And it was me who posted it! :rotfl:1.99 they were.

I never start listing my stuff for more than 99p as Avon never seems to sell for a lot anyway and for less than 99p you don't get listing fees anyway. I will just be happy to get rid of it and I am being more harsh with myself and telling myself I don't need to keep hold of it or will get round to using it just to get rid of things. I always list my stuff on a Thursday for a 10 day listing as someone once told me that if you do it that way you end up having it listed for two full weekends so that's the way I've done it for ages. Don't know if it makes a difference but it's kind of a routine I've got myself into.

I've also decided to bin a soap that was on the go as it's got to the stage where I'm fed up with it now, plus I find it very drying on my hands, and I know what you mean about the hand washes although when you have a hubby like mine who always uses far more stuff than needed you kind of thank god for small mercies :-)

  • Oh good idea i will have to remember that tip about a 10 day listing. I'm sure i read somewhere that Thursday evenings is the best week day to finish your auctions and on sundays is good too. I always have my auctions finish on a weekend so i have time to get things packaged up and ready to post on Monday. Got 10 items to take to the post office tomorrow.

I used one (wasn't so fussed on the moisturiser though) and I've still got one box unopened. It's downstairs in one of the kitchen cupboards and I keep meaning to take it upstairs. I think that says it all - for nearly two years I've been meaning to take it upstairs. The shame. :rotfl:
