oh why am I the only weak, selfish one on here?
I only went into the 99p store to get the stardrops cleaner that is supposed to be the saviour of the world on the os board.
I came out with
2 pretty polly products for legs, one is a leg oil and one a bronzing stick.
I had seen them in Superdrug for about £6 each last Summer. I wanted to try them but would not pay that price.
It is the first time I have ever been in a Poundstore as I had just assumed everything would be rubbish at that price. But I was like a kid in a sweetshop. It comes to something when my 8 year old dd had to remind me about my pledge.
Talk about Saffy and Edwina.
So then I couldn't resist going into Savers as I had never been in there either
and someone had mentioned it on this thread.
I could not resist the retro nulon hand products. I bought the hand scrub the overnight cream with cotton gloves and the cuticle cream. What swung it for me there was that I had seen them for a lot more money previously and they have all sorts of ingredients that I can't resist. I also loved the S&G type packaging.
I also bought Nivea Soft, which I have never tried but someone on here mentioned that it was the best body cream they had used. I had looked at it in Superdrug but was not going to pay £6.95. I got it in there for £2.95 with 50pct free.
Then I went to Primark to get my dd some ugg-like boots for a fiver.
I came out with those and came out with a double ended lipgloss and a double ended sparkly mascara. Those are for teenagers. What was I thinking?
I also bought a body wash for 50p reduced from £2
Then I went into Boots to just read the blurb on the hot cloth cleanser. It was out of stock in the main branch and that just set off this uncontrollable urge to own one. So I trudged over to the smaller branch, despite the protestations of my dd, because she can only take so much shopping. ( Hopefully a good sign that she won't grow up to be like me)
But there was a newly delivered order of lift & illuminate which I have been dying to try since I read about it . I did no more than open the large crate myself (I may say ripped it open in a frenzy) and I bought that too.
I did use my £5 vouchers but in my frenzy I forgot my extra 250 points out of the recent free gift.
I know I only have myself to blame0 -
Saoes addict!What are you like!!
Put the primark sparkly mascara away for a kids present, some other time, you wont use it.
Deep breath, tomorrows a new day. Maybe just AVOID shopping for a while:D

I have to say though, Salesaddict, most of my stores come from £1 shops/ savers etc. You do get really good products that are 4 quid upwards in boots. REGULARLY. Like ALL THE TIME.
Iam trying to avoid as I go mad when I see Toni & Guy shampoo etc in 99p stores, but to be fair theyve been selling it for over a year now, so whats the rush? KMS products ( mainly styling) are also ALWAYS in 99p stores. but if you ever see the large SALON size pump bottles of conditioner that is definatley a grabbit. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Right well.... After being quite proud that I haven't bought anything for ages, I did today....
I bought Olay Touch of Foundation, because my normal foundation is looking a bit thick and cakey all of sudden, and if I wear nothing then people comment I am tired or think I am ill (because I look a fetching shade of milk bottle white), plus I generally use Olay moisturiser anyway.
It's a product that I didn't already own, it is currently reduced in Boots from £18.99 to £12.99, and I had £11.00 in Boots gift vouchers stashed away, so technically this only cost me £1.99 :rotfl:
This earnt me a Boots £5 money off voucher and so used this to get No7 Quick Dry Nail Oil for £1.50, which is something I had but has run out, and it love it.
TOTAL SPEND - £3.49 which I would estimate is 10% of my previous average spend there per visit.
P.S Happy belated birthday from me to Hollyh and Jewelry fan!Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.0 -
I used the jamilia one and really liked it, although the pump bottle did my head in so I probably wouldnt buy it again. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

Hi everyone - I went into town yesterday and realised that if I went in the Body Shop I could get a £5 birthday gift as I have a Body Shop card and my bday is this month.
Anyway, there were loads of reduced Christmas things I could have bought but I didn't need any of them. There were loads of cheap body butters but I have about 12 in my drawer!!! I am about to run out of White Musk body spritz so I used my card and got £5 off and only spent £2.
Can you see my halo glinting?0 -

Still not bought anything this year, but found 2 no7 microderm exfoliants, a nail whitener/brightener set and 3 sun tan lotions when sorting out bags in the 'glory hole'!
Have artistically placed a full matching set of hand wash, lotion, shower gel etc on the bathroom shelf (liz Earle) but like others have said it is for weekend use only..:rotfl:
Been such a slob today I haven't had a shower or put make up on so nowt used up!

Lol, i actually did that this evening, before even catching up on this thread! I always wash my brushes with shampoo, though I only use a little. But i have so mnay brushes (I'm lazy, and can rarely be bothered to wash them so i have several of each instead ) that it does use up a reasonable amount I suppose.
Advice needed actually - I'm not keen on the eye cream I'm using at the minute (boots time delay), and I don't have any alternatives. I love the Clinique All about Eyes/All about eyes rich creams, and i'll soon run out of my my Clinique foundation (well, 3 weeks time or so) - can anyone recommend a decent cheaper alternative eye cream to stop me hunting down a Clinique bonus time when i need to replace my foundation?
I only really like gels that feel really moisturising, or light but rich creams. The time delay stuff just feels like a weird film sitting on my skin
I have a few boots and Selfridges vouchers, so if I could use those that would be even better0 -
To be honest, I think we could all recommend a product but it might not suit your skin, so could end up another product to "use up".
Personally I am using revitalifdt at the moment and I really like it, but to be honest, you might as well buy the clinique if you can ( use up points/ get cashback etc) as at least you know youll use it, and get VFM from it. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most?
