    Hi Nic

If I had had to paint, then I have done it with acrylic paints after they have been baked and cooled down.

another tip is to use soft pastels for accents before they go in the oven, or use oil pastels mixed with liquid clay (make sure you mix it well though as the clay dries clear and sometimes leaves little flakes of oil pastel showing), I am going to try acrylic paint mixed with the liquid clay for my next lot that need a little ooomph with the colour

My fav is the three strand colourful bracelet but also really like the bag charms.

Me too :). All are lovely, but I'm especially attracted by all the bright mult-coloured pieces! Loved your Mum's bookmark too, very pretty.

Btw Kandipandi, I tried your suggestion about looping up those long cascade earrings I made and it worked a treat, thank you. They look much better that way. Will post a pic when I put up my latest efforts.

Kandipandi - all your work looks beautiful..............I love the bag charms.........are they fairly easy to do ? I've got some beads kicking around that need using for something.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Thanks for all the kind words ladies, when I show them to my DH he looks at me like I have lost my mind :rotfl:

The bag charms were the easiest to do, just cut some short lengths of chain and fold them in half or not quite half so you get a long bit and a short bit. Connect them all up by placing them on a split ring, and add the clasp to the same ring.
Then just go mad with beads adding them wherever you fancy.
I make a loop with the headpin and hook them on and move them about a bit to see where they lie, once I'm happy (or fed up) I close the loops and they are done!
One thing I do is fix the chain to the clasp and then work on it while it is hanging up or you cant see where the bits will lie, I do mine on my jewellery stand.

Thistledome, I'm glad your earrings worked out, looking forward to seeing them on here.

Made this one last night, it was previously a New Look necklace that I snapped last year, luckily I had kept the beads. I think I will keep this one and wear it against black. Was so simple to do, just knots on a purple thong.

Kandipandi - thats lovely..:T............I've got loads of beads that I never wear............think I'll have a go at that. I might wear them if they're a bit different.

I bought some cheap fimo at the weekend, and hoped to make some beads. Can anyone give me some tips on making the holes in the middle, without squashing the whole bead. I have tried letting them stand overnight after making, half cooking them, but nothing seems to work. thanks

Stupid question but if you were to buy this then would you just need to buy beads? I am presuming that starter kit is everything for basic jewellry? Where do you get all of your beads from and what kind of size do you need to earrings/bracelets/bookmarks and bag charms?
Poppy I did get your PM yesterday but can't find the tape measure to reply to it!!

Kandipandi - Love all of your things but I absolutely adore the bag charms!! Do you sell them? or make to sell?
