dawn - often starts out looking better as far as costs go then the purse has to be opened............;)
I've struck lucky so far -I'd already got the thread so the necklaces are freebies - oh did have to spend 50p (well didn;t have to) on a chunky brown bead bracelet to put with the brown/cream button necklace but thought at 50p it saved me the hassle
I always start off with the best intentions though........with OH not working I'm aiming for as cheap as poss but but it won't work out as I want...........ho hum...........can but keep tryingI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi I have been looking through some of your posts on here does anyone know where I can get a starter kit from?
I want to start making a few bits but I don't want it to be too expensiveSealed pot challenge 18750 -
Hi Laura, try ebay for some great starter kits including pliers and findings.

That set looks to be good value, you would struggle to buy the pliers alone for that price!
Here are some of my makes from this weekend, I started with a bookmark to put towards my Mum's mothers day gift and got a bit carried away, I know the photies are quite big but they kind of need to be (sorry)......

Kandipandi
Did you by any chance get the marshmallow mix from Jilly beads for some of your bracelets? They look very similar to the beads I ordered which then became out of stock.
I am loving the set that you like best and the one below. Hope that I can make things as good as that in time. x0 -

Yes! They are lovely, lots of the stuff I make is from there. The beads on that cream set were part of a necklace from ethel austin (in the sale of course!).
I have only just started to make these things, perhaps for a few weeks, I have made loads of mistakes but am really enjoying it.
Be warned its mega addictive! You can stand there and agonize........

I love your bookmark by the waySealed pot challenge 18750 -
Morning ladies. Love your jewelery and bookmark Kandipandi. I wouldnt have a clue where to start on the ones with the different 'strands'. Anything I make is all int he one piece of thread of wire. I was looking into a local jewellery making course but its quite expensive, not sure if its worth it.
Ive been making more Fimo stuff, ive made the odd beads and pendants but ive enjoyed making the miniature teapots and Fairy houses ( not jewellery I know, hope you dont mind me keep posting here) can ask if anyone who uses Fimo what kind of paint you can use to accent colours? Ive noticed some pieces on Folksy etc that say hand painted and I can see where they have added extra colour to accent small bits but I have no idea what kind of paint I could use as it would still need to go in the oven.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
