I have waited 40 years to hear a 'well done' or 'I am proud of you', it's not happened yet and I don't think its' ever going to happen. Still a girl can dream *sigh0

Conveniently I'm sitting here with a budweiser lol. I'm sorry some of you haven't been encouraged. Although my parents both drive me nuts sometimes I can't say they weren't constantly praising me, in fact, everytime I sell somthing I still get a 'well done' from my dad which I've probably taken for granted. The people on this thread some really nice things, and although I know it isn't the same as having support from your family, I hope it helps a bit. Keep making everyone

Many thanks for the link Crafty Ju Ju, Thea will think it's fab if I make her a bracelet.
Speaking of parents I can't ever remember my mum giving me praise for anything I have done. My Dad on the other hand is so supportive in anything I try, and believe me I have turned my hand to most things since being a sahm :rotfl:
I can't wait 4 my kit to arrive, it's funny as I not long ago thought about taking this up as a hobby but tried cardmaking instead. Do you think it's wise to go on a course or can this hobby be self taught?
Off for a beer, this will be the last in a while as I am starting a diet tomorrow so:beer: to u all XX0 -

( sos if I've bummed the group out today...I didn't mean to!) I'm after some help please....I've ordered some glass tiles from america with my birthday money to make my own pendants, what I'm after is some wire to wrap aound them, like in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-M0gh7e2wo I found this at Sanctuary Beads & wondered is this the right type of wire? : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SILVER-PLATED-COPPER-BEADING-WIRE-0-5MM-X-25M-/290443195094?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Crafts_JewelleryMaking_GL&hash=item439fc372d6 Many Thanks

I have just looked at your blog and must say that you are very talented. Thea is 4 and I know if I showed your bracelets to her she would want them all LOL
I only make cards when needed, I'm not that good at it but do love sitting down and making things, I have a huge love for anything that sparkles so thought I'd try to make jewellery.
I have looked at a shop that is about 20miles away, they offer a starter course for £15. Money is tight at the moment and so I am now thinking that I could spend that on beads etc I really hope my kit comes by friday as the OH is going fishing fri am till sat eve and so wanted to have a go at making something.0 -

Thankyou very much about my makes, I started to make the childrens ones because a lady I work with asked if I could make the adult size ones for her 4yr old daughter. Fingers crossed your kit comes for you tomorrowx

Ooh maybe we could do a mini challenge in here the same as the card making forum? We could start with just a themed mem wire bracelet as that's what most of us already have so everyone could join in without buying too much. We could take it from there. It would be interesting to see everyone take on a theme ie nautical or love.
What do you all think? Don't worry if you think it's a silly idea.
The card making thread have one every week I think, i love seeing all the different things they come up with and gives everyone ideas.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
