I would use stretch magic - I buy mine from Jillybeads , for this job I would use 1mm but if you get 0.7mm (5m for £1.70 plus postage only 70p!)you will find more uses for it as you can string beads straight onto it, 1mm is quite thick for beading. They will both be very strong. Once you have tied it (and do a couple of strong knots) dab a bit of glue on the knot to seal it, I would use hypo cement but any superglue type stuff will do.
Brilliant, thank's that's just what I need & with a wee girl who'll be 5 in the summer & seems to have inherited my love of jewellery I'm sure there will be plenty of uses for it.
    Booo!!!

Thanks Crafty - all the followere and lovely comments do give me such a boost and encourage me to get of my backside and make something else! Thanks for the link to my giveaway, I will add you twice x I love the stuff you do too, wouldn't it be nice to turn a living from sitting making lovely bits all day? *dreams*
Poppy - I am amazed you are still making stuff with that little beauty to stare at all day! Your new pink box is beautiful and the little booties inside are so cute! Hope you are keeping well.

O I`m not getting much done... Thomas will only settle for me and loves his feeds so I grab ten mins here and there for internet/knitting/cards.
I`m knitting Thomas a snuggly blanket for the garden in the summer and its so soft, I`m making it from Sirdar snowflake chunky in shades of beige and cream.
I really wish I started the thanks cards ages ago as they take some time making and I have loads to do. I could give in and buy a pack from M&S but thats cheating isn`t it? Everyone has been so kind its like Christmas in Thomas`s house.... I get a bit overwhelmed with all the stuff lol!

HELP: Not really a jewellery making question in the nice sence but I need to make some MrT bling chains but can't find anything big or nasty enough. All my searches bring up charm bracelet nice wee stuff.
Can anyone help me as to what I ought to be searching for, big chunky & pref gold colour ( though I will spray paint if I have to ) Been all over town, charity, £ shops etc but nothing!

On topic I ordered lots of beads yesterday via ebay so hope to crack on once they arrive.

That is exactly what I was going to recommend - our local DIY store (Maxewlls) has it on rolls and you just buy it by the metre or half metre, gold and silver!

    Hi Ladies

I'm a newbie to this thread, I usually hang out on the card making thread so please be gentle with me lol.

It's taken me 2 days to read the thread and drool over all your fantastic makes. Well done to all of you :T

You can blame Crafty JuJu for me wanting to join in :) she made me a beautiful bracelet in gorgeous shades of pink, I absoloutely love it!! and want more!! so thought I would have a go at making ONE for myself. So bearing that in mind, how come is just cost me £18 on Jillybeads? I think my clicky finger must have had a twitch :rotfl: Think I need to raid hubby's tool box now for some suitable pliers.

Thankyou Crafty JuJu for your help :A I will probably be knocking on your door (ha I know where you live lol) next week when my goodies arrive x

Just dropping in everyone. Congrats on the birth of Thomas Poppy, glad you're both ok x

During May I am donating 10% of all my sales to Macmillan cancer support. I've wanted to do something for chairty for a while now and this seems like a great way to do it.

    :wave:Hi Flourgirl Welcome.
I'm afraid that Jillybeads does that - you get drawn in by the shiny things (my OH calls me a magpie :) ).
Crafty JuJu's stuff is lovely isn't it - I look forward to seeing your creations don't forget to post them here and if you need any help just shout up and someone will try to give you a guiding hand.
