Urghhh...I know what you mean about the chocolate and biscuits that appear after Christmas - I reckon I put more weight on in january every year than I do over Xmas;) We have tons....and as I work in a school the kids give lots of little gifts at the end of term....I think nearly all of mine were chocolate:rolleyes:
And of course, I have to the help the girls with their bags of chocolate (selection boxes galore!)
I debated joining WW again....£30 online for 3months right now....with £30 cashback thro Quidco (would have to openm an ew account)....not decided yet! Am always very good once I can track it online....and once I've coughed up money for it....will have a think:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Hi, I know.........I'm not too bad with chocolate, I have to watch how much chocolate I eat cos it gives me migraines, but I had 12 days off over Christmas so I gave in and ate loads of choccies and Haribo sour sweets!!
We were given loads of chocolates and biscuits as gifts from customers and clients this year. (we must have been doing something right!).........I'll just have to try and find some willpower from somewhere!
The wine doesn't help I'm sure
I was thinking of trying the tesco diet, but thats about £30 for a month so I'll probably just try and do it myself. I just find myself being sabotaged quite often.........DH works shifts some sometimes he'll have dinner ready when I get home about 6ish. I'm not complaining ....I know a lot of men don't know where the kitchen is, but he doesn't know the meaning of portion control (cooks enough pasta for about 8 people!!).:rotfl:Total debt at LBM £26k+Total debt now £16,494.40Tesco CC 11/2/11 Total - £1,387.20 - Now £00 -
Hi all 1lb is good, its 52 in a year if you carry on! NSD day for me as the roads are that bad I don't want to go anywhere. Hope we don't get up to more snow tomorrow, they have forecast it. x0

I can't believe I'm watching CBB...........I hope Vinnie Jones wins!
Its really quiet here this evening..........DH at a works do.....DS2 watching a DVD in his room and DS3 having a sleepover. This is when the old me would be trawling online shops and frittering my money away on things I don't need and clothes I'll never wear. I hope I've turned over a new leaf, but if I'm honest, it could be because I can't seem to get my diet kick started and I feel like a huge blob who'd just like to hibernate till Spring!
No more snow here yet, but everywhere is frozen solid. Took three attempts to get the car up the lane tonight........I probably should have left it on the main road in case it snows tonight but its safer up here. I've only had the car since September and I've already had to pay £240 to have a dent taken out of the bonnet and a scratch repaired.......(it wasn't me, someone drove into me then drove away............ honest !).
I'm going to start the Special K diet tomorrow............hopefully that will give me the start I need.
Transferred £100 from paypal to my bank account today, I still have quite a few items listed with bids up to about £50 so far. DH reckons I'm going to need new tyres before long though so that will eat up everything I've made so far plus a little extra!
Have a great weekend everyone xTotal debt at LBM £26k+Total debt now £16,494.40Tesco CC 11/2/11 Total - £1,387.20 - Now £00 -
Another no spend day today, its too cold to go anywhere!
Been very good today, housework is all done and so is the washing and ironing.
I'm really worried about tomorrow morning.................. DS2 has a Maths A level exam and at the moment its snowing here. Its not really heavy snow, but I don't think it'll take much on top of what's already on the ground to make the roads unpassable again....I also need to be at work for 8am tomorrow to meet a BT engineer! (to fix my broadband speed!!).
So far so good on the diet.......had special k for breakfast, special k (with grapes) for lunch ......cup of tea with two low fat biscuits, and for dinner we've just had spiced turkey skewers, brown rice and broccoli...yummy!
I'm thinking of signing up for an evening course to learn sign language.....I meet allsorts of different people in my job, so it could be useful...and if its beneficial to my job, I think my employer might contribute towards the tuition fees. I know its a spend, but I get bored if I'm not learning something new......I wonder if its difficult to learn?!Total debt at LBM £26k+Total debt now £16,494.40Tesco CC 11/2/11 Total - £1,387.20 - Now £00 -
sign language sounds good. What job do you do? I work in HR and have been asked to do my HR qualifications, the firm would pay though. The thought of fitting in this though with working full time with 3 kids scares me to death. My diet has been awful, I am terrible when I am stuck in the house doing nothing.
Just read your post about the PO card. Not heard of that before but its a fab idea for saving for xmas. Do I just ask for a gift card in the Post Office and can you save whatever you like on it?
Hope you get out tomorrow ok. Its been snowing here today but not really settled much, main roads are ok but side roads are still bad.
Spiced turkey skewers sound yum by the way! x0 -
Hiya, the PO card is called One4All, you get the card at the PO and you just add credit as and when. You can use it in most of the High Street shops, the only thing you have to be careful about is the card expires 18 months after the first time you put anything on it............so you have to use it within that time. I'm going to try and save £10 a week, but I probably won't manage it every week!
In my job I have a lot of contact with members of the public, so I thought sign language could come in useful. I really enjoy doing different classes, finished a diploma last year.....if you think you'd enjoy the course, you should go for it. I'm sure you'd be great.
I'm the opposite............my diet works a lot better when I'm at home. When I'm at work, I don't have much time to eat so when I come home, I just want to eat and eat!!
I don't think its snowing anymore so DS2 should be fine for his exam xTotal debt at LBM £26k+Total debt now £16,494.40Tesco CC 11/2/11 Total - £1,387.20 - Now £00 -
thaks for that, will definitely go to PO and do that card, I think I could easily do £10 a week as DH gets paid in cash every Friday. If I did it immediately I would not miss it.
Snow has stopped here too so hoping we don't get a big amount over night. DS1 is doing an apprenticeship and has to get 3 buses so weather is a nightmare for him.
I am thinking no biccies or crisps in the house going forward, if its not here I cannot eat it!! x0 -
I know what you mean, you can't really stop buying all the nice things cos there are other people in the house! DH just came home from the pub with a pack of pork scratchings and a packet for crisps........... luckily I don't like pork scratchings and the boys scoffed the crisps!!Total debt at LBM £26k+Total debt now £16,494.40Tesco CC 11/2/11 Total - £1,387.20 - Now £00
