  • I can't believe how fast the snow has melted..........I can actually get to my wheelie bin without risking life and limb and multiple fractures!

Have stuck to my diet really well today.........feeling really pleased with this week's loss. I think I'm going to set myself a target for weightloss. Its DS2's 18 birthday in July and we're going to have a huge party so I'm aiming to have lost 56lbs by then.............is it do-able to lose 4 stone in 6 1/2 months? I don't know!!

Forgot to top up my Post Office card today, so I'll do it tomorrow. Felt a little bit mean earlier on............I made DS3 pay for his own phone top-up. He's got a part time job, so I'm trying to teach him that he has to budget...........then maybe he won't get himself into the same mess as me! I know my signature says otherwise but I DO know how to budget.......I've just been living beyond my means and sticking my head in the sand whenever the bills came in....but no more!!

I'm off to place an order with Asda online for this weeks shopping.

  • Good evening everyone..............another mind numbing day at work today......absolutely nothing to do. Never mind, only 5 days to go till my first payday of 2010.

DH has decided that he will loan me £400 to help me pay off my credit card next week. I'd budgeted so that I could pay off about £600, and then finish it off next month, but with his help I will pay it off in full. Of course this means that I will now owe him £1800 which I aim to repay as soon as I can. If all goes according to plan, I should have paid him off by the end of May........after that the plan is to save as much money as I can to see if I can pay my HSBC Loan off in less than 5 years......I figure I should be able to do it in about 2 years if I can stay on the straight and narrow.

I've stuck to my diet pretty well today.........for breakfast I had Special K, Special K for lunch and chicken and jacket spud for dinner..........I think I'll have a glass of wine in a bit just to be sociable cos DH has opened a bottle of red, and I can't have him drinking alone!

  • hi, well done on weight loss! Sounds like a good plan to pay card off. Over the moon as just won £40 on Bingobritain with my free fiver! Hope you have had a good weekend! x
  • Hi Spendtoomuch.............was wondering where what you'd been up to!

Been ebaying like mad today,.............all ebayed out now though, got 45 items listed. Hopefully that will provide some extra spends while I pay off as much as I can after payday.

Blew the diet bigtime yesterday, we drank [STRIKE]some[/STRIKE] quite a bit of wine, watched The Green Mile (hadn't watched it before and thought it was brilliant) and tried not to let DH see me cry at the end. The wine was followed by a bacon butty (loads of butter and brown sauce)...yummy! I've been quite good today though, we had a lovely roast lamb dinner using some of the lamb we had in the freezer.

Sitting in front of the fire now...........drinking Babycham from a champagne flute and trying to be posh ...haha. Its very MS because its leftover from Christmas! I have some champagne left from my 40th. It was a gift from a friend who has since been diagnosed with cancer.................so I've decided its not going to be drunk until we're celebrating his all clear, then he and his wife can help me drink it!

DS2 and DS3 came home early from work this evening.............nobody turned up for meals at the pub where they work. Pointed out to DS2 that it gives him time for a couple of hours revision that he would otherwise not have had..........he wasn't impressed

Have a good week everyone x

  • well done on the ebaying, putting me to shame. I keep looking at the pile and I really cannot be bothered! That attitude is not very MSE I know but I soooo have to be in the mood!

Don't worry about breaking the diet, the most important thing is that you put it behind you and carry on. I got to goal weight before but still had a day off every week. Enjoy the babycham, haven't tasted that for years!! Hope your friend is ok and you can get the champagne out soon!

Got to get work stuff and school stuff ready now, booo! x
  • Thank goodness that's Monday done and dusted for another week. Nothing earth shattering today.....................just another quiet day..........until I came home!

DS3 has had a rugby injury..........somehow he's managed to fall and by putting his hands out to save himself he's cut both hands quite badly, so now he has two bandaged hands............... (he looks like he's about to step in the ring!).........it hasn't stopped bleeding yet so I hope I don't have to take him back to casualty tomorrow. Of course, being a boy..........he's milking it for all he's worth..........he's chuffed he can't have a shower tonight!

Nearly brought a dog home today..........someone at work knows somebody else who needs to find a home for a sheepdog. I'm really tempted, but don't know how DH will react..............I'll have to work on him.

Didn't spend much today.......only 45p for a newspaper ......oh yes, I put another £10 on my Post Office card that I should have done on Friday but forgot!

  • hope your son is ok. I seem to spend half my life at A&E with 3 boys. I am glad Monday is over too, very boring at work today, was stuck on my own and I hate it.

Unbelievably I have won another £40 on Bingobritain tonight, thats £145 in 3 weeks!!

DS1 and 2 and DH gone to father in law's to watch footie and DS3 in bed so very quiet here, going to have an early night and read my book, bliss!

Diet still going well, made a lovely quorn cottage pie for tea and had loads of veg. I am praying that I can continue being good. x
  • PS Get the dog go on, DH can only sulk for a bit! x
  • lol.........you don't know my DH......he could sulk for Wales! The way to his heart is though his stomach.........I'll just cook him something nice tomorrow.

Congrats with the bingo win......you must be having a lucky streak....don't forget to buy a lottery ticket on Weds.

My diet's been ok today too, I can't wait till it gets a bit lighter then I can start walking again.

Not a lot of interest in my ebay items so far......still, there's another six days to go!

  • oh well if he sulks life will be quiet!! Get cooking! Tell him if you get a dog to walk it will help with your weight loss and make you very happy!

I will get a lottery ticket on Wednesday I think, you never know!

Just underneath my bottom is killing me from this walking, is that nomal??

Had some awful news today, DS2's friend's dad got killed on Friday, run over by a bus. He was only 43 and has 3 children. x
