  • Sorry about your badnews thats really awful for those poor children. You just never know what's around the corner.

I'm still at work at the moment and its deadly quiet......I couldn't resist a quick peek on here to see what's going on.

Been a good girl on the diet so far and its WW risotto for tea tonight. The friend of a friend has decided to keep the dog now......he's going through a divorce and the dog belonged to his wife I think.......to be honest I think he loves the dog more than he's letting on!

Hope the muscles are better......I used my exercise bike the other day for the first time in ages and my bottom was killing me for days!!

  • yes it is awful, can't stop thinking about those poor children having to grow up without their dad.

Done my wii fit today and had a walk, I constantly ache!! Had another good food day, fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, home made tomato soup and fruit for lunch and jacket potato with beans and salad for tea. I have decided not to weigh myself at all, I can tell by how I feel and how the clothes fit. I do not want to become obsessed without lbs!!!

Off to bed now, early for me but I am so tired, it must be my body not used to all this exercise! Just got to finish butternut squash soup first for tomorrow's lunch.

Just been watching all those Haiti orphans on television - I would adopt a few! Its absolutely awful isn't it.

Another NSD for me - don't think I ever had one before I started MSE, I am addicted now!
  • Hi everyone.............a quiet day for me again today........January has never been so quiet in my job and thats not good!

There's also a bit of office politics going on at the moment with a couple of my co-workers.........nothing involving me........I refuse to take sides, but when two people who used to be friends, can't stand the sight of each other, it doesn't make for a happy workplace.

Other than that, not a bad day, a little bit of snow this morning, but it soon turned to rain. Day off for me tomorrow, and it probably won't be a no spend day. I think I'll take my mum out for a coffee and cake (not for me tho)........we haven't been for a wander round the shops and a good gossip since before Christmas.

The diet was ok today, I'm fed up of Special K tho, so I had brown toast for breakfast, a lovely salad for lunch and weightwatchers chicken tikka masala for dinner ....yum!

I thought of another incentive to slim today..................DS1 will hopefuly be graduating in July, so that means a new dress!

Payday on Friday, can't wait to pay some bills and update my signature...yayyy!

  • Make the most of it while its quiet thats what I say! Thats awful about your colleagues and being stuck in the middle, is there anybody that can speak to them to sort it out? Is it a big office or just a few of you?

We did not get the snow, thank goodness! Plenty of rain though!

Keep thinking about all those incentives to lose the weight. I have put on my wall at work a picture of me when we got married 12 years ago when I was sooo slim and then a picture of where we are going on holiday in August so I can keep remembering what I looked like and thinking about wearing a bikini on the beach this year!! Know what you mean about the dress, there is no fun buying clothes when you are unhappy with your weight is there??!

I need to menu plan more to get more variety. I have been really good with breakfast and lunches but need some more menus for dinner as I find I am having the same old thing - time to dig out those cook books and start planning better.

Weighed myself this morning and have lost 5lbs this week, so pleased and my trousers are not quite as tight round the waist!

Have a good day all x
  • Feeling quite pleased with myself today. Had my weigh in this morning and I've lost 1 1/2 lbs..........I know its not much, but its TOTM (sorry if thats too much information).....I'd usually gain about 2/3lbs around this time, so I'm really pleased to have lost anything at all. Total so far is 5.5lbs since 1st Jan. Its coming off a bit slower than usual this time, so hopefully I will be able to keep it off better this way........thats my theory anyway!

Its also payday today and I've been able to pay the grand total of £1,052.36 off my debts. I'm almost skint (but not quite) until next payday, but hopefully my ebay sales will provide a little extra breathing space. Its really sad how happy I was to update my signature......I think I may have been converted into an obsessed moneysaver!! :rotfl:

The sun has even come out here this morning :j so all in all a good day so far (hope I haven't jinxed myself now and I'll have a really awful afternoon!!)

    Take care x

  • I'm home alone this evening........DH working the nightshift, DS2 working in the pub and DS1at a friend's house.......this is when I would normally be online shopping, but I'm not going to!

A good day at work today, not a completely NSD, I had to buy a loaf but only spent £1.40 on a loaf and a newspaper. The diet was also good, but Saturdays are always quite hectic where I work so no exercise tonight.............my get up and go has all gone!

I'll have to go to the pub when DS2 finishes his shift................................so I'll probably be tempted by a glass of rose when I get back

Two things I'm trying not to do tonight:-

    1. Trying not to buy anything
    2. Trying REALLY hard not to eat any chocolate!!!

  • I have a confession to make......................last night I cheated on my diet and had a bar of chocolate, it was sooooooooooo nice.........but I didn't buy anything!

I had a couple of glasses of pink cava and all my resolve disappeared. I've made up for it today though, I've been busy all day. I've done all my washing and most of the ironing. I've also had a few good sales on ebay and raised about £110. We'll be going to Cardiff to watch a few rugby games in Feb and March, so this can go towards my pocket money.

Went for a walk with DS3 this morning. I forgot to take my pedometer with me, but we walked for about two hours. I'm so glad I made myself go because it was really good to be out in the fresh air.

DS2 and DS3 will finish work about 10, so until then peace and quiet reigns :)

  • Hi, you deserve a bar of chocolate, don't beat yourself up about it. You will be far more successful if you give in to your cravings sometimes. I have had a good walk with DS2, DS3 and my mum plus dog in the forest. We did about 6 miles and every bit of me hurts, it was quite hilly and I know about it now. Well done on the weight loss, its fab.

Made a call I had been putting off for ages. DS1 has asked if his girlfriend can come on holiday with us in August, they are both 17, he will be 18 when we go. I rang her mum tonight and she said she obviously wants to put us before she agrees to her daughter going out of the country so she is coming round Thursday night, wish me luck!!

    HI
Well done with the ebay sales thats a fab amount to make.

I also cheated yesterday on my healthy eating regime and had sticky toffee pud with double cream:D was very yummy.
  • Hi Spendtoomuch and Miemie............you're right, a little cheat does you good sometimes! I've been quite good today, I had wholemeal toast for breakfast, salad for lunch (took my own in) and had WW chicken tikka masala for dinner with salad. I wish it would hurry up and become lighter in the evenings though, then I can start walking after dinner.

I'm going to Cardiff on the 13th and would like to lose another 8 1/2 lbs before then but I don't think I'm going to make it somehow......its coming off much slower this time.

Didn't spend anything today other than 45p for a newspaper. So far I've brought in my own lunch every day.

Another of my old school friends hits the big 40 today........I met my DH at his 18th birthday and it feels just like yesterday! (DH is 43 on Saturday).

I had a sobering thought today................my baby only has just over a year to go before he leaves school!!!!!!!!!!! Where did all that time go?.........its scary !

    Have a good week x
