Oh no Maria, how awful.
Do you have insurance?
If not, my friend did this and she took it all apart, laid out all the bits near (but not on) a radiator. Left it for a week and it worked perfectly when she put it back together.
If no insurance it's got to be worth a try.

P.S. About 30 stitches off finishing the sheep but K seems to know it and keeps waking up crying.Cross Stitch Challenge member 11 - May challenge well under way

Thanks to all who directed me to Quidco - £289.30 since Nov 09 :beer:0 -
squishy (and others)....... I can vouch the threads are FABBY. I bought a honeysuckle kit when they 1st came out which was soo nice - made a lovely birthday card - posted it......... and the stupid postal service lost it..... GRRRRR.
I saw that set and was soo tempted by it for the charts but I was good and resisted.
Around Decmeber time (i think it was) our hobbycraft was discontinuuing the skeins so I bought about 8 different 'flavours' for 49p each (ish). The orange one is delicious..
You can smell them a little as you stitch the smell seems to be released with friction. so once finished it doesn't smell - rub your fingers over - smell again!
One of the x-stitch magazines a few months back (ok years back) had a fuity collection of characters..... think I may dig that out and do them in the correct threads one day.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -

The kits I ordered actually arrived this morning! :j Great service there
I had read somewhere that the threads stay scented for 20 washes, so hopefully they should say good for a while after stitched.

oooohhhh you will be the first one of us to work on 25ct over 1 thread :j-I "think" that some of the charts working on that fabric say you can sew using just one strand of cotton too -which would reduce the costs I guess :rotfl:
As *Louise* says -please post piccies as it realy helps keep you going -plus we are nosey
Never thought to give you the sizes for if you did it on 16 or 18ct
*Louise* -I have seen a bootiful HAE that would go with your lake:rotfl:..will pop and find it in a moment -it looks almost like a close up on the figure by the lake -Im in love
I can't get the link of the pic to work -so its on the wimblebees site
on the HAE section Page 5 left hand side -3rd one down-tis lovely
-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
*stands in the corner* i must not be nosey i must not be nosey....ah i looked and wish i hadent i like College of Magical Knowledge and i agree with MrsM thats alovely pic to go with the one your doing
dont worry about not giveing me 18 or 16 count i like a challange, and it sounds like it will be if none of you ladys have done it in 25 count
by the way it says use two strands of cotton , oo i wish everything would arrive so i can start :rotfl:

oooohhh Witchwoopiggy -that college of magical knowledge looks like a challenge ....
I have to confess that I decided to do my HAE designs on 28ct over 2 threads to make them a good old size -plus I would end up cross eyed trying to work on 25ct....I can't imagine how teeny tiny the Xs will be -6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50
