I think someone's trying to tell me I shouldn't be doing the Flower Fairies.....or at least the Rose one I decided to do first.

I only started it on Monday and in 3 days I have made so many stupid mistakes I just want to put it away and forget about it!!
I obviously won't do that though because if I do put it away I know I won't go back to it and I have to because the Fairies are presents for my Mums 60th.

blimey that was a good find, perfect for cards. I like to do a couple of quick kits in between the bigger ones, and I do like to take a small project on holiday with me.

I've already tagged two of them for mothers day cards - probably the rose and lavender ones :) Hoping my cold goes away and can actually smell things soon :p Very impressed with sewandso - ordered yesterday afternoon, and had the 'dispatched' email just after 5pm last night, so hopefully should get them tomorrow! They always have great service :T

    Hi Gang

Such temptations with the websites you show - I have fallen for

    1941.jpg

But will resist as I have other things planned.

Finished letter V (violet) last night on the floral alphabet - will post picture when I get home from work.

My back work is soso but I don't think I would like to show it off. If I am using a long run of thread I use the loop method or single stitches are good for it too.

Feel so tired (had bit of a headache last night) today - rather stay at home sleep and later do a bit of stitching. Hope you are well in your part of the world. Hubby comes home tomorrow - missed him loads.

    Kind wishes to all

i had this exact same problem with flower faries and it drove me mad, it took me a year to do this one as i had to keep putting it away and getting it back out before i through it out lol

    Hello all,

loving all the pics: you're all doing so well :) Been working away at my baby picture, but not getting anywhere very fast as not been getting a lot of time with it. However, I have been bad :o Just ordered these: http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&uid=&Prod_Code=64772&ww=on&do=search_results I thought £12 for the set was fantastic, and will make some lovely cards! :)

Wow thats a bargain. I wondered when they first brought out the perfume skeins how long would the smell actually last? Reduced from £48 to £12 that must be the bargain of the month :)

Glad it's not just me then! :D

I think my problem is that a) I have the tv on whist stitching so probably don't concentrate as much as I should & b) I seem to have the need to finish off a thread once it's started so tend to think 'I'll just go over there to do those few stitches' which then I obviously don't count the holes properly so end up with mistakes.
I think I'm going to have to discipline myself to work on a section then instead of going off somewhere else on the chart, work on the section that is immediately next to the previous one. That way I won't have to count so shouldn't go wrong :D

im trying to get my fabric for 'dragon riders' and i have never used evenweave before do you stitch just over one thread? and it says on pattern 400w x 514h stitches, 25 count, 16w x 20-1/2h in sooo would this be big enough?
    Fat Quarter 19¾" x 27½" (50 x 70cm)

    Hi Witchwoopiggy

Im doing my HAE design on 28ct even weave BUT over 2 threads.... I think doing it on 25ct over one thread would bee a nightmare..

If you are doing as they suggest which is 25ct over 1 thread then your design will be 16"X20.5" -so that piece of fabric would be big enough -but not leave a lot for framing (well not for me)

If you decide to go onto 28ct over 2 threads -(or 14ct-over 1 thread) -your design will be :-28.5" X 37"

Hope that ramble makes sense :rotfl:
    -6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.5
  • ha ha shelly that is exactly what i do aswell i dart around from bit to bit and mess it up and then get really frustarated

not having a good day to day dropped my new phone down the toilet !!!
