Morning all
Here is this weeks update -
last week:-
This week :-
So Im on the home straight :j -If I get my head down I "might" be done in time for next weeks update-
Its still snowing here and its forcast for the next 4 or 5 days at least ... so staying indoors looks like a good idea
*Louise* -YEP -that chart was called spring...isn't she gorgeous ....and it would probably be "economical" to do as it looks like it will use up the threads leftover from the lake piccie (if there are any) :rotfl:
Right off to get a cuppa and then settle down with it and get on
Have a great day everryone-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Can I just ask, does anyone know if the 50 threads deal at across town stitching is for all the same brand of threads. I need about 30 DMC and 20ish Anchor, had anyone successfully done this?
Can't see anything on the site, though it was a quick look as we're about to go to mini music. Will check back when I get home, hopefully someone will know.
Thanks xxxxCross Stitch Challenge member 11 - May challenge well under way
Very proud mummy to Gorgeous baby girl - 29/09/09 :j
Thanks to all who directed me to Quidco - £289.30 since Nov 09 :beer:0 -
Thanks everyone for all the suggestions and to chiggylwiggle for emailing the popcorn sampler. I think I will just have to adapt a pattern meant for one baby. I had really hoped for something for twins. One of them is not well and I'd wanted something special that would symbolise twins but it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to do that.
Thanks again(Angus is my dog, not me ...)0 -
Can anyone help?
I have made a small twin design for Angus1 but I can't get it uploaded - it is a pdf file so photobucket won't do it.
It is handdrawn (at work), so scanned it into computer. I can take a photo of it when I get home and probably work that way.
It is of two prams either side of some text.
Kind wishes

Hya sweetcarer, my avatar is based on something I scanned in ages ago and then played with. I did make a vector one, a few years later which was fun! I can't remember exactly how I did it, as we had an older computer, and it was a while ago, but I do know I used Adobe Photoshop at one point (vector graphics bit).
When you scanned your picture, did you check to see if you had a choice of how to save it? If you say the image is a photo, you may have jpg as a choioce already, so job done. Otherwise, try using Paint, a bit ungainly and primitive (but very useful at getting rid of extraneous marks), again you get the choice of how to save it.
In the Save As box, click on the arrow next to the Save as type box and you will see quite an array of file choices, choose either JPG or PNG, and you should be fine.
Try looking at this, which of-course is only of use if you have Microsoft software!
Hope this helps....sorry I can't remember my exact process...have different computer and printer now, and don't have Photoshop installed on this machine (must chase DH to find where he "hid" the disk!!).
Good luck!

Hi Keiss
I have tried that program you recommended - it converted it fine into jpg but photobucket still won't let me load it up.
I really did want to help Angus1 - I like doing wee designs - not great at it but I like doing original things. I did find some twin desgins on the web - hopefully one of them will help. Guess I will take a photo of design at home and load it up as a photo in photobucket later when I get home from work.
I just had a few spare minutes at work today and did a wee scribble of a design.
Kind wishes

If no-one here can help I'd recommend clicking on the 'contact us' link and emailing your query in to Louise on the site. I found her extremely helpful with my problem. I emailed the site at about 10.50pm and didn't expect an answer till the next day. 20 mins later I got a reply!

Forgive me for i have sinned
I have been back on the wimblebees sale and spent some pennies-I have picked these angels below(couldn't link to the wimblebees pics) -to sew and then hopefuly back with some nice fabric and stuff slightly -to hang on my xmas tree
....I might fit them in alonside doing my orange lady next
I was good really as I did think about it before I got them...and I have now spotted that there are more in the range that I can get eventually
and I might use a lower count fabric to make them a better size -or different counts to make them a similar size

Hya sweetcarer, is your file name in upper or lower case? Make sure it is lower case. ie filename.jpg and not FILENAME.JPG. Also, if your file name has spaces, get rid of them or change them to underscores...some uploading programmes can be very pernickety.
You may have to go back to creating your jpg file from scratch again and use a name with no capitals, with underscores_ instead of spaces ...hopefully this will work. (Vaguely remember problems uploading files onto web-sites a few years ago, but thought this had been ironed out!
If all else fails, get in touch with photobucket themselves. They will be the experts on their site's quirks!!
Good luck!
PS
Sweetcarer - had another look around re piccies. If you are using the free version of Photobucket, then you are allowed a file size of 1MB max, so that could be your problem...if you can, resize it, and you will be fine....methinks just emailing the file to the person in question (can't remember who) would be the easierst...or even printing it out and posting it via snail-mail!!
