    Thanks Shelly, and everyone else.

I emailed Louise at Across Town Stitching this morning and got a reply in under 20 minutes. What service:T

Anyway, she sends her regards to you all and has said that a combination of DMC and Anchor can be used in case any of you have a similar requirement. Baby is asleep at the moment so I'm going to take the opportunity to make a start on my thread list.

Hopefully I'll be able to order them shortly.

Enjoy a lovely peacefull Sunday all,

    xxxxx

I haven't ever used them but could you find the cheapest item on the site to buy just to test the waters?
Then let us know because theres a few I would like to buy :D

    Hi Shelly
Just thought I would let you know I have oredered two kits and the customer service is excellent. Had a bit of a problem with paying for them as when I tried to pay it said not authorised by bank so tried agaiin 3 times and then decided to sen a chq. However then I had a email from tha company asking if I needed 3 and said they have automatically refunded the money. They have despatched the goods with the reutrned chq. They email you straight back even at 9.30pm!! so all in all I am pleased with the service.

finally i remember to take the pic AND upload it.......

    Here's where i was 10th January: Photo225.jpg

Am just going to ask a numpty question but did you get the material for this kit with lines drawn on or did you draw them on yourself? Can you buy it lke this somewhere - have never seen it before - or if you drew them on waht did you use and does it wash out or do you have to stitch over it iyswim? Is a lovely piccy btw and you can definitely see progress

Have done all the detail on the tortoise one I was doing for a freinds daughter - just got to do all the background now but is big stitches and all the same colour so should be able to get it done fairly quickly now (fingers crossed)

You can buy fabric with the lines already on it and they wash out

    http://www.dmc.com/majic/pageServer/1y010102cw/en/Magic-Guide-Fabric.html

Or you can buy a pen and draw them yourself and they wash out too

    http://www.stitchtastic.com/product/fabric-marker-wipe-off-wash-out.aspx

Think I will use this in my next project (big one) - the orange lady like MrsMacs. Though I have some anniverserys coming up and want to get them done too.

Hope all is well in your part of the world

    kind wishes

    sweetcarer ;)

    Ok, here goes...
This is the back of Crisp Afternoon, which has LOADS of confetti stitching, so it makes it really messy on the back.

Here's the front...(rubbish picture-sorry! Had to lie it out on the bed & the duvet was all messed up)

I'm not usually so messy on the back, but you can't really avoid it with some designs.

wow everyones work is looking great ... and i have done hardly anything in 2 weeks cause the week before last i started sorting out my bedroom doing a proper clear out and last week i was full of cold then finishing off my room .... so hopefully will get back to it next week !

i do have a favour ........ does anyone have the charts for

    http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&do=search_results&Prod_Code=41923&ww=1

    or

    http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&do=search_results&Prod_Code=29574&ww=1

    or

    http://www.superstitcher.com/product.aspx?pid=5992&cid=45&sid=893

or prefably a forever friends one .... (or something similar)

the only thing i ask is that it is the couple is sitting down as my mate if finally marrying her boyfriend next year and i really want to stitch them a wedding sampler, but he is in a wheel chair (i do not know the circumstances) and i don't want to risk offending anyone doing a couple that are standing up .... i'm sure it wouldn't offend but i wouldn't like to risk it just incase ......
