elysia, I have done that project, it's framed and hanging in my downstairs loo. A bit twee but I love it!
Started a new project yesterday and aggghhhhhh it's got to be restarted. I get so annoyed when you have to sort the threads from kits and the colours are similar so you have to play hit and miss with what's right or wrong...unfortunately I got it WRONG. grrr£2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0 -
You are tempting me again - I have so much to finish before buying something new, and at least one baby thing to do for the new year but I keep lookig at all your projects goign ahh, ohhh and I love them. My current thinking is either a three part sunset/sunrise (like the prints you can get) or a seascape of cornwall (have found the latter but it comes with aida and I think EW would look better?).
Off to stitch some more stocking, and will try and remember to post updates starting in the new year as that might encourage me more.0 -
This new thread is great...and thanks everyone for looking for astronomy-based projects for me...I thinkg the H&E Astronomer is winning!
I suppose before I start on a project for my DH, I should fnish off at least one of my UFOs. I started birth samplers for both my boys when they were born based on Beatrix Potter illustrations. Well, one is done apart from the writing, and the other is only part finished....I suppose I should at least try and finish DS1's...he is 20 today...so I am a bit late with it!!
He and GF left this morning before 10 to go a walk with friends...considering they don't normally see the morning much....this was quite a feat! He opened his presents after midnight before going to bed, as it will be latish when they get back.
I will post piccies of my UFOs and not-even-started kits...once I can get the new camera out of its box!!
Weather here is lovely, if a bit chilly, so might venture out for a walk later too (only a short one though!).
Bye the way, great to see you back Mrs M hope 2010 will be full of lots of cross-stitch (and plan-growing!) projects as well as a return to full health.

I hate it when that happens. I'm doing (OK was doing) a desighn from Meinick that is 200 different shades of green and only partially pre sorted. I am in a hopeless muddle with it and I'm not sure it is retrievable.
I've just checked the Michael Powell though - fully pre sorted0 -

I hate that SOOO much - why can't they at least put a small tag on each telling you the number or symbol??I hate it when that happens. you're mad - I wouldn't even attempt to start that one!!!!!!!!!!!!I suppose before I start on a project for my DH, I should fnish off at least one of my UFOs. Perhaps you could save it for a wedding (or 21st) present???
I managed to 'colour in' most of the missing bit of my cat last night so tres please - more stitching tonight now i am back in the swing of it. Oh and I mamnaged to find a Christmas design i had stitched for a card then put in a 'safe place' - i wondered where that had gone.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Just wanted to ask - is this the thread for all cross stitching or just UFO's.?

Can I join in please? I've hardly stitched at all for months. This might get me back on track. I was given a new Michael Powell kit for Xmas which I plan to take with me on holiday in Jan.
OOh I have got his chapel one to do - love them all and the way he has threads already sorted - met him at Harrogate show and he is such a nice bloke too!
Have got so many UFOs have done a deal with 2 stitching friends and none of us are going to start anything new until we've finished all the UFOs first. We can buy new things in the meantime if they take our fancy but got to get UFOs done first - personally am trying to be more frugal this year and have planned for a lot of UFOs to be gifts for different people.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

SF is small format and LF is large format..the design is exactly the same only difference is the size of the chart i.e large format gives you bigger symbols to work on.. easier to read ....if a chart covers 9 pages in SF it will be 16 pages in LF
Hope that makes sense!
Perfect sense! Thank you!Aspire not to have more but to be more.
