*Louise* glad to hear that she is finished, no wonder you enjoyed stitching her, the colours are beautiful. The christmas one is pretty too. I reckon you'll do wonders on that one, must be easier than Lady in the Lake.0

Help! Sorry ladies, but I'm having trouble getting me head around this conversion for my cross-stitch:45 x 40cm of white linen with 11 threads per centimetre. Stitch Count: 180H x 153w
I want to convert this into Evenweave, but just in simple ladies terms.
Anyone able to help?0 -
I received this morning in the post quite a podgy pack from Bothy Threads.
More than enough thread to carry on the garden shed, and lots of information on what they have, i now have a big list of other cut thru' not to mention other designs.
I am so happy, yesterday running around trying to find this thread wore me out and today i will pay for that.
But i will suffer with a big smile on my face, there are nice companies out there
so told them i will put them in the praise and vent section as they deserve it.0 -

It's driving me potty already :rotfl: I had remembered there were different number of strands used, but forgotten that some stitches used as many as 4 strands and LOADS of it is blended colours.

I think that 11 count linen is the same as 22 count evenweave (because you'd do it over 2 threads) and therefore the same size.
If you used 24 or 28 the pic'd be smaller.
Use this calculator to help

however....
..... just found this and see that 11/cm is equivalent to 28 count in linen. Using this site gives the size of your design to be 32.66cm H by 27.76cm assuming you will be using 28 count evenweave, and sewing over 2 threads. The site gives the size for lots of different counts, so you can choose which one you want.
Hope this helps.
I've been planning my Christmas makes at long last...and have started on this for my Dad...he may get it for his birthday if I get it done in time (3rd October), or more probably Christmas...and then I might get this one done too..will post piccies when I find the camera!!
Looks like the bread has risen enough, so must get back to it.
Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.

I'll go for the 28ct Evenweave then, thank you so much for the help.0
