thanks guys, that dictionary of tea looks fab (this is how awful i feel ATM - can't even have my morning cuppa cause it triggers my morning sickness!!)
just had a marathon run to netto and back with him in the buggy (he doesn't winge if he's outside)............. bought lucozade and after 8 mints.........yummmyummmm now all i need is him to nap so I don't have to share them
. also got the ingredients to make toffee creme tart with him later on (cooking also keeps him busy/ quiet - he's obsessed with "big cook little cook" today - I'll be able to make gingerbread men with my eyes closed by tonight).
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Congratulations Chicky xx0

*only kidding
Have got hardly any stitching done as barly talking to hubby this week and have shut myself away in the bedroom (when not cooking for him or cleaning up after him). I did sort some of those boxes of stash out tho and they are now in a big 5 drawer see thro unit...... much nicer.
to top it all off i'm 8 weeks pregnant again (planned - stupidly), supposed to be resting and instead doing twice as much and arguong twice as much.
so i have been reading the thread but not really been in the mood for replying (sorry)
sorrry had to rant (apparently all my friends have a life and no-ones around to talk too).
Sending you hugs, Chicky. And if it's any consolation, my hubby is being an idiot at the moment too. I've offered him up for sale on Twitter, but no takers. Just cut his hair, so now he's in the bath. Peace & quiet for an hour or so...:D
He went to Tesco this morning (to get rolls & ham for his lunches). Gave him some vouchers and told him to use them if he could. One of the vouchers was £6 off when you spend £40 or more. He spent £35...why he didn't go and grab a bottle of wine or something to make it up to £40, I don't know! It would've been FREE. Such a muppet. I swear he makes a pigs ear of things just to get out of being asked to do it again. If he's useless at shopping, I'll do it from now on. Just like I do everything else. Except the washing up (long term agreement, before we moved in together), but I noticed he's doing a really bad job at that too. So I just put things back in the washing up and use a new plate/glass/whatever.
Just feel so stressed out at the moment. I don't want to go out and see people, but agreed to go to the spa next Friday with my friend coz she's stressed out too. Really don't want to hear about her family problems at the moment, but I wouldn't be a very good friend if I refused to listen.
This wasn't supposed to be a rant! Came on here to send hugs to Chicky and to say the Stocking & Tea pics look great.:TCross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

AFM....job offer fell through
When I heard the news yesterday I had to put my stitching away because I was so disappointed I couldn't concentrate. I took it out on the ironing instead....got it all done :rotfl:
I am so sorry to hear about the job. It is so difficult these days. Hubby wants to get another job but I have said to him he best stay in his job and looks at same time - he hates his job.Feeling a bit more like myself - thanks for all the good wishes on here - and have go a whole day stitching to look forward to tomorrow. Dh has got the kids and I can stitch with a lot of other ladies and sit in calm and peace and be brought cups of tea - absolute bliss
I would love this - be in some female company for a while (work with load of lads tho my boss is female but is a b**ch). Just stitch - nice cuppa to hand - bliss.chickywiggle wrote: »to top it all off i'm 8 weeks pregnant again (planned - stupidly), supposed to be resting and instead doing twice as much and arguong twice as much
Many congratulations Chicky - moan at us any time - we are here for each other.
Well I have been very busy with stitching (stayed up all last night) and finished my parents anniversery gift - just to iron it and frame it. Have cheated and bought a ready made iced cake - just have to decorate it.
Hubby will be up soon - so off to shops buy all for the dinner on Tuesday - will do all the prep on Monday ready to take down. Have already put an advert in the local paper for them and set off a request to the radio station they listen too. Hubby to pick up 40 red roses for them on Tueday. My brother is coming - at first he said he couldn't as he had church but we (my sister and I, as well as hubby) presuded him that family is more important.
Hope every one is well in their part of the world. I might not post every day but I do watch what you are up to and always hoping you are ok.
Kind wishes

Evening ladies, sorry been rubbish at keeping up on here last few days due to diff things but just read the last couple of pages that I have missed Louise your stitching looks amazing.
chicky & ruth- hugs to you both. Ruth I am glad its not just my hubby who does stupid things like that when shopping - I think they do it deliberately so we dont ask them to do it again .
Well my xstitch on black became a bit of a nightmare the other night when I had to do some navy stitching - good grief was boggle eyed!! Plus I havent done any stitching for a couple of nights - must get back into it asap however had my youngest sons birthday party at home today and had a glass of wine to recover - so I dont think I will be doing any tonight;) - deffo tomorrow though xx
Oh also sorry cant remember all I have read/seen but the sampler, dictionary and stocking are great - hmm me thinks the wine is kicking in:D0 -
Hi all,
Well as promised I've finished the height chart and here is the photo link
http://s1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc481/niamhirl/?action=view¤t=IMG_4519.jpg&#!oZZ2QQcurrentZZhttp%3A%2F%2Fs1214.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fcc481%2Fniamhirl%2F%3Faction%3Dview%26current%3DIMG_4558.jpg%26
I think I've solved the dilemma of what to do for the parents Ruby Wedding. I've ordered this photo of the Irish farm house the 7 of us grew up in as a cross stitch kit and plan (although it might be far too ambitious for me) to complete and frame if for them by August 2011.
http://s1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc481/niamhirl/?action=view¤t=IMG_4558.jpg#!oZZ1QQcurrentZZhttp%3A%2F%2Fs1214.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fcc481%2Fniamhirl%2F%3Faction%3Dview%26current%3DIMG_4519.jpg%26
I'll keep you all posted on how I get on - it'll keep me occupied if I'm still jobless when the kit arrives.
I echo the hugs to both Chicky and Ruth feel free to rant at anytime, we all just need to have a moan every now and then and get it out of our system.Cross Stitch Member No 32: 1. Complete farm house cross stitch for parents anniversary August 2012.

I've got almost a whole day to myself today. DH and DS have just left, I have a few things to do, but will be trying to get in a few hours of stitching by daylight, something I haven't done for a very long time. It is so unusual for me to have time to myself, but have had a very bad few weeks with my mood levels so DH has sorted childcare and left me alone for the day. We've then got a 4d scan this evening to see baby for the final time before he/she arrives.
Hugs to Chicky and Ruth.
The height chart is gorgeous and that farm house will look amazing when stitched, good luck.
I love the dictionary of tea as well and I'm sure your parents will love their anniversary gift, very pretty.0 -
Everyone's work is looking great.
kindofagilr. Love the colours in the stocking.
Moosmummy & sweetcarer. Your finished pieces look lovely.
niamhirl. Cute heightchart and the Family home will look stunning.....rather you than me tho :rotfl:
Here's a couple of updates from me as it's been so long since I posted one.
The first pic is the end of the row of birdhouses going to the right and the second pic is where I have now started going to the left. All I have left to do for the main row of birdhouses is another bird and a large house. The chart has some more sunflowers around the last house but I might leave those off.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
OOOh Chicky . Huge Congratulations. Hope you're feeling a bit better now and your little one lets you have some me time today. Ruth honey hope you're feeling a bit better too.
Lovely work ladies . Those birdhouses are looking good and coming along well. That stocking looks good and the anniversary sampler is beautiful.that dictionary of tea looks fab.

Morning all
Got a fair bit done on my fairy over the weekend - we had a nice relaxing Sunday, I told hubby he was doing NOTHING all day, not even any DIY jobs that need done :rotfl:
But after that relaxing Sunday, I woke this morning to find DD (3) covered in a rash...flipping chickenpox!! She only has the rash though, none of the sicky symptoms that can lead up to it.
Hubby's parents are taking the boys to the cinema as planned so it will just be the two of us today.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
