  • thanks for the hugs everyone.

ruth_honey......... at least your hubby knows where the shop is :D I sware send mine to get milk and he makes out its the hardest job in the world....... despite me going to farm foods and lugging £30 woth of food shopping home on the back of a buggy quite frequently. (anyone who goes to farm foods will know this is quite a bit of shopping).

*louise* hope your little girl gets better soon..... thats the bit I'm dreading most about DS being old enough for nursery coming home with everything going.

Still no stitching done this end tho tonight is pub night for DS (so are most nights ATM i think) so an early night for DS, an easy tea then popcorn and bed to do some stitching for me.

Those who are waiting for ;);) will be happy to know I have given up waiting for DH to move the boxes in the spare room and done it myself (i know i know) so i now have my magazines back in the bedroom (queue another re-jig of boxes in room so he doesn't know) and will try and get them sent out this week.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • Has anyone come across a multiple birth sampler. My friend is due her 3rd (and final) baby in March and would like to do her a sampler that includes all 3 of her childrens birth dates, but haven't really found anything that could be adapted easily to include 3 names, dates etc.
  • Hello......Im a newbie here after an invite to join!!! Wasn't sure what to expect but having read recent posts this is my kind of cafe!!! Right unfortunately I haven't a husband to complain about because I did a great thing and got rid of him....hehe but have a child and a puppy (was a good idea at the time). I have just gone back to cross stitch after a few years gap, it helps my mental health which is a bit of an issue at the min so it gives me something else to focus on!!! I am doing a little kitcheny/mousey thing at the moment but going on to start some christmas stuff which im looking forward to starting!!! x

I think a kit like this one http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&do=search_results&Prod_Code=55297&ww=1 could easily be adapted by spacing out the bears and the border so that you are left with more space in the middle for names, dates and ages.

This one is quite sweet too http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&do=search_results&Prod_Code=53758&ww=1 make the words smaller and you could fit 3 lots of info on there.

This site is quite good for lettering http://www.stitchpoint.com/eng/tool/alph/_alphabet_generator.php

    Hope that helps :)
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

Sorry guys, I've not been on for a while. I've lost my cross stitch mojo and can't find it anywhere LOL.

Anyway, just read back a few pages and had to say CONGRATS CHICKY xxxx

I'll try and get back into my stitching and be back on soon x
:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:
  • Hey there, I read someone mentioning in an earlier post that the library can be good for cross stitch stuff and free too which is always a bonus. Failing that I recently started doing some volunteering at a local charity shop for a few hours a week and they put me on sorting out their stockpile of books (My dream job). Anyho they had quite a lot of cross stitch books which were generally priced at no more than £3:50 hardback and £2:00 paperback. I've put some to one side for now. BF has imposed a one out one in criteria on me and books, which to be fair is sensible as no more room in our house.
