tell you what stitching white on white with 2 table lamps (dull) is soooo entertaining!!
:rotfl: sorry but I did have a giggle at that I could just picture you wobbling on some pillows stretching up trying to reach the bulb
I imagine white on white with 2 dull table lamps is extremely entertaining to us reading about it....maybe not for you though, fingers crossed there is no unpicking that needs doing after this!0 -
ohhh i shall not be unpickling.................. (ohh i like my new accidental word) this chefs hat on mousey has a gazillion mistakes already!
and it was JUST like that i was wobbling round everywhere. - i got the old bulb out somehow.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I like the word unpickling makes a horrible task sound a bit better
my anniversary project never got given to my OH yesterday...why? because I left the writing until last only to find out they hadn't provided enough blue thread  I wasn't happy, but its his birthday on the 29th July so he can have it then instead0 -

Bubbles - your story is beautiful, so glad they have been back in touch and it's all going ahead. Have they said how long it will be before it's published?
Emzy - Oooo, our OH's have the same birthday:beer:

Please don't worry too much about the list.We all know our own challenges, so don't fret too much about posting it frequently, when you can is more than enough.
Kez Ive book marked that frames site, thanksI bet it will be nice for you when you've got them all framed
I was really good yesterday and timed myself an hour of stitching and left the laptop alone for a change. Felt really good I have to say, so gonna try and do that more frequently. I have a cake to bake tonight though, which might spoil the challenge. :rotfl:0 -
Mags & Emzy, thanks for the evenweave suggestion. I was trying to think of it yesterday but couldn't remember the word 'evenweave'
I blame it on the migraine that I got up with. Didn't do any stitching at all yesterday because of it and not sure if I will today either.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Totally off topic but.....
I just rescued 8 ducklings!! I went for a walk to the beach and down the road I saw a duck quacking loads at 2 ducklings.....me being someone who can't help talking to animals slowed down and said 'you're really shouting aren't you, are you telling them off?' I then heard lots of chirping and splashing. I looked down the drain on the road and saw some ducklings splashing about and the mom was walking around really quacking. I phoned my OH to come and help and while he was on his way a few people stopped to look.
My OH came and helped lift the drain cover and having nothing to lift them out with I leant down and could just about reach them so grabbed all 8 out.
The mother duck got them all together and walked off....to which I said 'Hey not even a thank you' :rotfl:
The people stood around said well done and all went and me and my OH went for a quick walk and came back to check on her and she was settled down in some grass with the ducklings all around her so thankfully they all seemed ok :j :j
Its just made me want some ducklings even more now though
Louise funny that they both share the same birthday
chickywiggle thats good that you can give it them as an anniversary present....I bet you start a new oneI seem to have caught that habit too
Shelly hope you're head feels better soon x0 -
