Maybe we should do a stitch-a-long for it when you're ready, then?

Where in America do you want to go? We're off to San Francisco and Las Vegas. So excited! :j We don't leave for 5 months, but I'm already planning things to do. We've been to both places before, but I want to go back to Alcatraz again and there's so much more to see in Vegas.

Yeah a stitch a long sounds great, im really disappointed just realised the afghan fabric I was watching has finished and sold for only £8

We want to go to florida, see winnie the pooh and do lots of cheap shopping :D
I love the idea of Las Vegas but just think id be really nervous because of how busy it looks! And to be honest I don't know much about San francisco so ill google it in a bit :) I hope you both have a great time, I don't blame you for planning what you're going to do already...ill be exactly the same :)

Thanks Emzy - i suppose that logically someone has got to be 'last' and that it doesnt matter, but i was feeling quite down this morning so that didnt help. i stayed home from work today and got quite a bit done on it listing to charles brandreth on radion 5, very funny about how he gets angry with his boss. i could relate!
~ i've just had a look and think i've found the post you mean... no idea why it came up in that google search though! very odd. well, i've now posted a follow up to that question in case people find it wondering the same things as us.
~ if we are talking about the same place, it was great and my oh and i love the town and go a couple of times a year for a day trip. we're planning on camping there again mid/late august, so it would be great to meet up if you're around then :)

Glad you like it here, we'll definitely be here in August so will be lovely to meet up :) hopefully the weather will be nice :)
Im going to have to try stitching on the beach but I just keep thinking i'll get sand everywhere so I keep chickening out :D

Ericsmum Thats terrible about the thread  you must have been so annoyed with it!
Its great that your mum can still see to cross stitch and that you can finish them off for her, will be great to see pictures of your peacock and your mums work

Ruth Happy 30th I hope you have a great break away :)

Welcome cheapskate and Charliec45 nice to meet you

Lol Louise and Chickywiggle there had to be a good point somewhere! Although I can't complain as my DF isn't really into football apart from getting a little interested in the world cup. But...I can complain because that means I don't get 90 mins of stitching time :rotfl:

Maria You got a great bargain with those penguins!

Sweetcarer I got the same kit unfortunately, I wanted the other one too.
I hope you and hubby had a nice day out
Oh and after laughing at everyones naughty minds, I think you should go with the whip :D nah I mean look at both types of jacket and go which which ever one you like the most :)

PamperedPrincess Thanks so much for those nudges!!

Louise Can't wait to see a pic of the finished house

Spottybutterfly I have no idea sorry, I hope someone else can help

Shelly Your Kitchen design is coming on brilliantly, I hope your dad is doing ok and the doctors let him home soon xx

Jlp123 Thats a lovely design, its great that you're doing it again, i bet it will look beautiful completed

Kez Your dreamcatcher design looks gorgeous

Thrifty Your signature should be 'the expert at french knots' now lol! I bet you'll be glad when they are all done

Well I hope I haven't missed anyone after all that! Hugs to everyone that needs/wants them xx

I know with that afghan Emzy - i'd kept it on my watch list - i was AMAZED it had sold for soo little. the other only went for £5.50. It just seems typical of ebay this weekend my stuff is just dead. I have no bids on anything (and there is over 50 things - ok i lie my mate started bidding on the 2 highest price in the hope the 8 watchers will follow suit) all due to end between now and midnight. not even a lot with watchers.

I have sold 2 things today - 1 in the last 10 mins of the auction and one was definatly sniped. i am SOOOO cross, can't afford to pay listing fees on 50+ items.

oh chicky hope you get some bidders soon paying all those fees will be hell. Problem is i think because they had a free listing day last sunday so many people listed things so they don't bring in as much iyswim . Did you not list them on sunday when it was free?

i don't worry about the number of watchers my mil once had an auction with 125 watchers and not a single one bid. crazy.
Typical though the afghan you were watching went for so little if you'd been there to bid it would have gone more expensive it's so** law.

i did use the free listing, they end today. if they don't sell thoi would need to re-list and i can't afford the fees to list this week :D

thats weirddddd. i know - i bought a kit in last few minutes :p:p to make sure i got a good afghan cause i was sure it'd go for nearly the price in shop, then it didn't. I bet the seller is fuming (wonder if it will be refunded as 'faulty' or 'lost' then amazingy re-listed again in a couple of weeks (have seen that happen before).

I've had that happen to me a couple of times before too. One seller refunded me after 2 days as it was lost in the post how the h*ll would she know if it was or not if i didn't tell her. Another one was some rubber stamps and when no one else bid she messaged me to say she went to pack them and she'd left them too near the radiator and they melted. Then a miracle occured and she relisted them next day starting at a higher price. I messaged to ask how you unmelt rubber stamps but she didn't reply. rofl .

Been busy on my singing bookmark this morning, after we got back from the car-boot sale...made just under £80!! Pretty good as it was quite queit, with only 7 cars "booting" (is there such a word?!), but perhaps that was a good thing as there was less competition!!!!

Really pleased, all the boys' revision guides (GCSE and Key Stage 3) went as did 13 out of 17 PS-One games!! Sold 20 of my peppers and tomato plants, with only 5 left, worth getting up at 7am then!! We gave our sons £10 each, as we sold a lot of their stuff. Will probably do another, bigger one in a couple of weeks, so will need to root out a few more boxes of stuff/junk to get rid of...Cor, the house will be empty soon (I wish :D)!!

Lovely work everyone, will post my bookmark progress later on tonight or tomorrow afternoon...working in the morning. Going to try out my brand new iron tonight...should be much better than my last one, which was shorting out the house's electrics last week!!

Right off to do more stitching.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend all.

    M x
